Wouldnt be the Zos we know and love if it was any different.

After a bit of complaining we will get one of two answers.

1. It is a bug and you were never suppose to be able to duel in buildings, it will be fixed in update 13.
But it wont be and it never will.

Or
2. We have listened to your feedback on this and would like to make some changes. Currently there is no eta as we are investigating possible solutions.

We told Zenimax months ago on PTS this would be a issue for a lot of players. They shrugged and said whatever. Literally.

Honestly I think this is the very first MMO ive ever played that allowed dueling inside of towns lol. I like dueling and like PVP but it honestly has no place whatsoever in towns. BDO built some arenas outside of towns that you can duel in made it pretty nice

Nothing special just a few big pillars in a circle and place for people to sit and watch. The players actually hold tournaments and stuff there. Dueling in town tho does nothing but interupt other players doing their daily things crafting/questing and whatnot.

I guess most gaming companies no longer ask "how can we design <insert system here> so that ALL of our players can have the best experience possible.

I suspect now it is more like "how can we invest the least possible amount in perpetuating mediocrity to milk RNG, gambling, and micro-transactions until a new competitor emerges or we burn out our own player base by the steady erosion of attention to quality."

Gaming is seen as just another business investment, like most western art.

Of course this invariably diminishes the quality and diversity of inspired art, as people just mass-pump out formula. They even teach art majors this business "skill" in university now.

Some people just enjoy being a pain in other people's side . I hope they stop before we get the inevitable duel only zones . It will be this nonsense that eventually ruins the free open dueling we have now ...

This was a huge oversight, I honestly don't get the thinking unless according to the code there is no "difference" between in doors and out doors and Zos didn't want to code something like that...

The less people react and the longer the feature is in the game the less people you will see dueling. I see no difference in dueling and all the people spamming abilities and rping everywhere. Except now there is actually a reason people are using abilities.

I don't understand people need to duel inside small building, but then again it is their game as well so whatever floats your boat I guess.

I think people also over react and assume anyone dueling is just doing it to grief other players. I am not saying that it doesn't happen, but some people just like to duel.

I played dcuo and they have dueling enabled everywhere but nobody cries about it there.

I think if this feature was in the game from the start none of this would even matter. But since it was such a highly anticipated feature people are jumping in and enjoying something they waited quite awhile to be able to do.

ZOS could make it so if you can't mount, you can't duel. That way, places like banks and other building would be a 'no duel zone'. Maybe add an exception for bars.

Dueling should be a crime in any city. Period! It is killing in the streets, that should be a crime in any civilization! Take Duels to the new Hammerdeath Arena and fight it out or take it to the outskirts of town, but for cryin out loud, get it out of the towns, cities and banks! Come on now the cities will never be like that because we always going to have idiots spamming abilities in towns.if you truly feel like your being harnessed you can report those players or go to another zone.The towns will never be quite same with the real world that's the point its making cities more lively.Plus it shouldn't be PVE consequences for PVP activities.Same with PVE.

Explain how someone typing or using area chat to RP in a building could actually interfere with your ability to use the bank, manage your inventory, or craft.

Dueling shouldn't be allowed inside towns.
Dueling should not be allowed inside towns for the following reasons:
1. It disrupts the economy(guild traders, crafting stations, general merchants and bankers are surrounded by duelers).
2. Towns are no longer peaceful, but instead are like a battlefield.
3. RP players suffer from this greatly.
4. Performance issues inside towns - latency and cpu usage are higher due to duels.
5. New players are misguided into thinking the game is all about duels ?
Is it ? By making duels possible inside towns, the center of all progress, trade & social interaction, they became the one and only conversation topic in zone chat...(Either complains or gf's).
6. A lot more reasons - I didn't want to make this post tldr.

Tamriel is a huge continent...
There are many places to duel besides towns.
I'm only dueling outside of town out of respect to pve players and non duelers who just want peace and quiet.
It is understandable.

@ZOS_GinaBruno Please consider making a restriction for duels so it will only be possible to duel outside of town.

I don't want the ability to duel indoors removed . There are some cool abandoned buildings and crypts around Tamriel that won't effect players . Please don't let a few bad apples ruin it for everyone . Disable in banks and around trade kiosks but not from everything in towns . There are some nice bridges and waterfalls in towns where this is fun and away from quests and most players .

Dueling doesn't stop you from crafting or using the bank or managing your inventory either you just don't like it so you want it removed.Having more than 10 people in a area could caused the NPC not to show up.Dueling doesn't stop you from doing a thing you just don't like it.

No. Everyone loves a barfight. Just because you don't doesn't mean that it's universal.
