If i fight with CP, but my opponent also has CP, how exactly is CP a crutch? Its just as fair a fight as two non-CP players fighting each other, neither easier nor harder, just requires a different approach.
Because dear lad. More cp = increased resources = less resource management = less skill
But my opponent also has increased resources and less resource management, so how exactly does it require less skill to defeat him?
The point isn't that it requires more or less skill to defeat him, the point is that it requires less skill to SURVIVE, that's why CP duels can literally be endless; because you always have enough resources to dodge roll, break free, use a life saving ability, etc.
I can try to drain your stamina by cc'ing you on CD and forcing you to dodge roll or use shuffle with traps, but it probably won't work cause cp's grant you really good sustain, healing, damage resistance, etc.
I invite you to duel someone in Azura and see the difference; maybe you won't like it, maybe you will, it's all a matter of taste, that's why we would like non-cp duels to be implemented, but we are not asking for cp duels to be removed, cause most of us don't care about what yo do or not do, all we want is to have fun.0 -

✭I REALLY want a no CP dueling option, even if that means heading to a special zone. Cyrodiil is out because you can't start a duel there.
CP just ruins the real PvP experience. Far too much of a crutch. My high-regen magplar felt like cancer when trying out duels today when it's the bare minimum to duel in Azura's.The generally amicable yet sporadically salty magplar that may or may not have 1vXed you in Sotha Sil. Who knows?0 -

Not saying for a moment people are wrong to speak out against others wanting CP to be removed, it's just how some of you go about things. So much upset over something so trivial. That does not make CP fighting easier, just different. There is less focus on resource management, but more focus on surviving enemy burst. It really makes me chuckle when someone says mistakes are less fatal in CP environment. He obviously did not face a minmaxed stamina NB that instantly kills you should you lose your focus even for the blink of an eye.1 -

✭This won't happen. How should it be implemented? A second Duel button? A second dialog, asking for CP/NoCP? That's ridiculous.
Just remove your CP for dueling purposes. Like if you want to duel with keyboard only, just unplug your mouse. Or if you want to duel without pots or sets or jewellery: don't slot them.
You can do PVE without CP as well then. It is much better and more challenging anyway, according to your reasoning
