Which Combat Companions/Pets do you want to see if they add them?

Now I know you might not like the idea but I think they are going to do it. If they do what types of combat companions/pets do you want to see?

I saw in the crown store that they change pets to "non combat pets" and was wondering about this. Wth is a combat pet?? Are there plans to have a pet that will attack enemies for you?? If so how would that not be p2w??

Well, thing is you would not really need them to win but yeah I do think they are going to do it. By changing pet Section to be called Non Combat Pets its obvious the combat pets are possibly going to be added at some point down the road.

Combat pets is how they refer to summons such as the sorcerer's ones or night blades summon shades so this addition to the pets description is simply for clarification so people don't get confused when looking at sets like necropotance or wild hunt.

I really REALLY think that you are wrong here.

Cos maybe, just MAYBE - Zenimax want to add one more section below this one - *Combat Pets* ?

I used to ba a Captain in LOTRO (blue and red skill line, heal+dd+support, also that class is really tanky).
For me its great in ESO to play Dragonknight -cos i still can drop my banner, heal folks with resto staff and play similiar build like in that other MMO

But i really miss my halberd, armored warhorse and fighting companions

For pets.
i really want my heralds from LOTRO :'(
They even fit nicely into ESO lore - i want herald with faction banner, and some kind of ghost (even animal ghost will do)
When i think of this -herald could even use guild tabard as banner ;D

In general -it would be also nice if combat pets would not be simple "buy and activate" and this one do this, and other one do that thing. instead i would like more develpoed pets, with training/selecting skills for them -so you could adjust your companion a little bit for your play.
Also i want at least some equipment slots on them (like -2-3 slots, body armor, hat, collar/jewelry) ;D

@Kemono You were a captain too? I loved that play style, jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none. The captain could watch the whole group and cover for any weaknesses... oh good times. ESO is really lacking in the support roles department.

Anyway, I am not fond of the combat pet idea. Id like them not be any more prevalent than they already are. Have you fought a pet spec lately? They can have 2-5 pets active at once. This is super hard to deal with from ranged, if not flat out impossible. The many pets will get in the way of your targeting and you will probably find yourself unleashing a critical skill like meteor or a gap closer or cc. Because there is no soft cc immunity, this makes great use of a frost staff and streak, to stop opponents while creating distance and then to suddenly teleport ahead to create even more distance to keep you fighting at range.

If I can't lock on (like in LOTRO or almost every other MMO), I don't want more pets becoming meat shields.

I'd like to have some kind of pike, longspear, halberd etc. It really feels missing.

I think it might be like WoW's battle pet thing, which is similar to Pokemon where you dual other people's pets. Could catch the little Wild critters and use them to fight or buy special ones from crownstore / crates

I would love a hunter type class, if not, skill line where you do have an actual pet to fight alongside you

As a lotro captain myself (you always stay one

I've been bombing the in-game support with the idea of the Banner carrier companion for 2 years now - it would be hugely useful for leading PvP raids when people don't have add-ons to see where the crown symbol is. The bigger the banner the better.

I'd love if they made the undaunted skill with the spiders summon without need for an ally to "synergy" it. Let the spiders summon like normal and a synergy would just enhance their power. Closest thing we have so far to combat pets outside of of the sorcerer summons.
