But I'll bet that the wonderful megaserver architecture prevents this.

And now that maintenance is over, people are happy again.

Dear gods some of you people complain far too much about something that is FOR THE GOOD OF THE GAME. So you can't play due to maintenance... ok, not the end of the world. Preoccupy yourselves another way in the meantime when it happens. It's getting ridiculous, all these complaints about maintenance in general as if it's something unnecessary.

The ends people will go to defend an obvious poor service and design. They call that "willfully ignorant". Like those that will vote for Trump...

Funny. I've heard people say the same thing about Hillary. So what does that make you?

What happened with the 5am ET time maintaince? 2am ET is a horrible time thats when i love to play .

Im not mad. Just disappointed. The 5AM ET maintaince was perfect for mehope they go back to it lately its been 2am ET .
But i dont know about you but i really want patching on wednesday working instead sit for 8 hour on wednesday with maintaince just for nothing work and wait to play new DLC that will come then.
Honest i dont know why people are whine about maintaince anyone that have play MMO before ESO should know by now that every MMO company do have maintaince days before a expansion and yes DLC can been see as expansion i mean blizzard have done for years so what is big problem.
Because in the past week it's 16hrs "maintenance" alone, then offline for the update and download, so within a week on PC it's going to be no doubt a full 24hrs within a week. That's too long and NO ONE else is offline for that long, I used to think BF4 updates took ages but that was 2hrs tops once a month and contained far worse game breaking bugs at launch and Naval Strike teleport / 1fps update that come out.

It's never that long, and there's usually a compensation of sort if it takes longer then usual. Dunno about WoW, maybe they're also that bad at it, but somehow i doubt that.
I just hope they will allow us to download the update once the maintenance starts, not after it ends.

A company that runs maintenance on their servers is not "poor service and design", it's "responsible service and upkeep". You just want people to agree with you because you dislike maintenance periods in general. Complain all you want about the downtime but I'll take it over no maintenance and shoddy servers as a result any day (and before you say anything I am referring to serverwide lag spikes and constant crashing). I am sorry if you cannot see the importance of maintenance as well as the fact EVERY MMO requires it or refuse to acknowledge it just because you cannot play the game during them.
Thrasher91604 wrote: »The servers ARE shoddy even with all the maintenance. That is because of poor design resulting in poor server service. Don't expect us to buy into the delusion that the service is wonderful just because you say so.

Have you ever pulled into an ATM to get cash, and it is not working or being serviced.

Its so funny hearing the same answer from EVERYBODY who defends ZOS
"Would u like to have no maintenance at all"
"Get out and do something"
The sad part is people failing to see how unfit this game is right now lol
If ESO was a person . It would be a 400 pound diabetic person who cant walk 5 minutes without needing a break

Complaints about maintenance have nothing to do with Zenimax directly. It's maintenance. EVERY GAME HAS IT. Do you complain about Blizzard when WoW is running maintenance? Do you complain about Jagex when Runescape is running maintenance? You're complaining about the maintenance itself, not the company. If you think Zenimax is at fault just because they have to run maintenance then you really do need to get out more.
