Im kinda getting sick of seing theres a maintaince happening the night i really looked forward to playing.
What happened with the 5am ET time maintaince? 2am ET is a horrible time thats when i love to play .
Im guessing workers got tired of doing maintaince at so late so now we gotta suffer for THEYRE problem
Im not mad. Just disappointed. The 5AM ET maintaince was perfect for me
hope they go back to it lately its been 2am ET .

Exactly they act like they are working for free LOL . Least they can do is manage better maintenance timing. They had it right at 5am thats customer friendly. 2am is not2 -

✭✭As someone who works is I.T. and based on last weeks infrastructure maintenance outage, I suspect they are having to work around third party availability (maintenance companies) and leaving enough time to make sure everything is up for peak load times.
An 8 hour outage for European servers from 7am BST means that at best it will be up early in peak time for Europe whereas if everything was to wait until the usual 11am BST, they risk not have any availability at all during European peak time.
I suspect there is little difference load wise between 2 am and 6 am for US servers as far as most users are concerned, it is just that it inconveniences those of us who use it then and we want them to know about it.Australian on PS4 NA server.

✭it sucks. but hey- in a few days we re all getting a free upgrade to a game with a free subscription.
I'm sure if everyone on iso paid a fee- they could employ or pay for no downtime whatsoever on their upgrades and maintenance- but for now- it is what it is.
i understand - i used to feel that way too- one day to play- the missus has gone out shopping, house to myself to get into tamriel- but it just brings unwanted anxiety- checking the launcher every 5 minutes like an addict.

FYI its 11pm for me . And i usualy play till about 1 or 2 am . And its more than about me. Its about the incompetence of ZOS.

✭yeah...2 AM eastern is 11PM westcoast US...that sucks...i stay on later in the night because many players in my guild are on earlier timezones, so like 2AM to me is 7PM to my buds in other places....and that BLOWS for them, i know you can't please everyone, but the servers clearly state "US" on them, implying not only are they located in the US but you choose the server due to your distance FROM the US. so players in AUS or new Z are getting royaly *** by this.
EU and US servers need to go down based on lowtime...find the lowest time for all servers and go from there. mid evening is horrible decision and needs to be there top customer service decision1 -

So I'm going to make an assumption here - you've worked in the gaming industry, have an in-depth knowledge in the day-to-day operations and inner workings of keeping an always online MMO game megaserver in working condition.
What do you want them to do? Wait until it completely sh!ts itself and then take 3 weeks to fix it?
This isn't just directed at you, as there seems to be one of these threads every f'n maintenance!
The Euro server ESPECIALLY has people from every Timezone in the world playing it - ergo, it's always going to inconvenience someone!

I think Zeni should do maintenance from 4 p.m. to midnight CDT on Thursdays. I work a swing shift, so it wouldn't interrupt my gaming hours, but it'd give the "day walkers" a taste of the medicine that us late-nighters and over-nighters have to deal with on occasion.
