IDK, different quests, keys, or just add a chance for them.jedtb16_ESO wrote: »how would it be a reward for people not interested in vanity items?
Just no.
You have several free costumes and a pet that come with the base game.
A simple 1 month subscription would grant you even more costumes, polymorphs and several pets.
Support the game.

I sub but that's not the issue. The problem for me is that I don't have motivations to do dailies.

Your personal motivation is not something ZOS should enforce with vanity items.
If you are tired of dailies, maybe it is time to change your routine?
Did you try trials?
Did you try out Cyrodiil?
Do you run dungeons with guildies?
Did you get all achievements?
Make your own motivation to play, don't expect the developers to hold your hand.

And a motif isn't a vanity reward? Difference being a motif ends up being expensive and costing you 8 waxes and 160 mats per item....costumes and Polymorphs don't. You just turn them off.

a motif you can, currently, sell. the op says the vanity stuff should be bop. how is that an improvement?

Because what's the point in just releasing content for people to farm, to sell and repeat and never actually anyone uses, half the game is still in glass Tbs as who can be arsed to pay for 40 waxes and another 680 silks / leather etc again. Motif farming / rewards are so tedious and boring. If we could sell soul shriven amd stonefish scamp that would be something else. We'd all have been on it a lot lot more. We need something else from dailies other than motifs which imo all look the same bar weapons and helms these days, several pieces can't be used as who uses crafted helms and shoulders and weapons really?
More vanity items needed. And hard to get ones that are super cool like the horvar and soul shriven skin / dro m'artha skin.
Soth skins were all farmed on cp10 alt accounts in 3hrs.
Not all of us want to play the game to grind the same daily quest for an axe motif to sell for 3k if you're lucky for them to even drop. It's boring 4 dlcs down the line.... a year later a change would be nice.

As long as they are not the same items, this shouldn't be an issue.

Yes an no.. Don't look at it as different items.. They had to pay for a costume, you got it for free

There are cosmetic rewards in the game that are quest rewards/drops already.
I'm all for cosmetic rewards. You can't out-level them, they won't become obsolete like old sets do as the game progress, they don't occupy space in your inventory. It's great.
