I don't remember the exact numbers...It has a % chance on taking damage to give you 30% damage mitigation and 15% healing reduction for 12 seconds with a 15 second cooldown.

Really? Why is this a set?

The 30% dmg mitigation being stacked with sets that already do similar since it's not a major or minor buff you obtain. This next update will have players who will be able to take zergs without blocking just because of how much dmg they can mitigate.

So people become somewhat more tanky, it's not like it makes them unkillable nor does it increase their damage so I'm not noticing much of a problem. Shields still only last 6 seconds so even if this set helps the shield last longer from attacks, it doesn't increase their duration any so again, not a problem.

If anything, it sounds more like someone is complaining because they'll no longer be able to cheese their victories with Viper+Velideth procs.

No one in this thread who is saying this set needs adjusting uses viper or velidrath lol. It does make players unkillable though. Reactive Templars can now use this plus the sweeps ultimate for around 75% dmg mitigation, or the other set that reduces dmg while in a channel for over 50% dmg mitigation while this set is active.

It's way too strong to not be a minor or major buff.

Unless I've missed a change since it came onto PTS, this set gives Major Protection and Minor Defile.

So it doesn't stack with most other damage mitigation abilities. Quit your complaining mate.

I thought Major Protection and other similar reduction abilities (like CP passives to reduce physical, fire, etc) always worked to reduce damage done to shields.

it is intended as CP mitigates on top of the shield.

Great . I don't close range blazing Templars anyways but I'll be watching groups that don't know melt again . Templars that do the Blazingshield setup invest a lot in health to get the dmg Max . The healing penalty won't effect that setup much at all I'm thinking .

That 15% healing reduction is against the wearer ? If against the attacker it's just terminal cancer .

A sorc under their suppression field will get 60% mitigation from this bad boy (30% from negate). God forbid they are running reactive (35%), are a vamp (33% at lower health) and running circle of protection (8%).
You could mitigate so much damage you'd start recovering health instead. Could be fun.

Negate doesn't mitigate anymore afaik ever since they made it deal dmg and gave a healing morph.

I thought that was pretty clear - why would it not mitigate dmg to shields. All flat % mitigation applied to shields. Only resistance and armor does not work.

That´s why i made the initial statement of sadly lacking the 5p armor procc sets to back this up.

It´s kinda fun isn´t it? The only thing i´m really concerned about is trollking. The whole concept of this set takes it´s name a liiittle too literally. Especially with proccing on minor selfheals from the CP tree. Bleh.

Ah right, ta for the info. The only other place to get major protection is Bolstering darkness (Nightblades), as far as I'm aware. So NB tanks could make good use of this set.
