I laugh when I die. I don't rage or hate honestly after I get killed. Sometimes I wait to enemy's leave to see what they do next. But I don't rage nor hate. No fun.

I think it's funnier when a Zerg tries to kill 1 or 2 people and fails at it then tries to claim your a terrible player when you just killed them and 4 or 5 of their friends one after another.

Been in both situations, and I enjoy both. Had a player get salty when my four man was holding down a district flag. I enjoy being told how much better of a player someone else is, even though I just spent an hour farming that player.

ProTip: If you continue to walk into a farm, you're not in a good position to call other players bad.

My other favorite is the "zerg" griping. I run groups for a PvP guild, but they're not the best. Still, it's often the case that the "1v1 bro" kids start griping about how it's unfair that people in a multiplayer game are daring. To play. With multiple players.

Look, I hate getting run over by a mass of crabs as much as the next banana, but seriously, if you want a fair 1v1 fight, no one's stopping you from buying a copy of Street Fighter.

ProTip: If you gripe to me about my 6 man being a zerg because we obliterated your 4-man, I will return with 24. And stay.

Regarding ninja rage tell (rage tell then immediately ignored by initiator), should one presume the other is conceding defeat in the battle of wits arena as well?

A PvP benchmark for me was when a ninja rage teller of the past took the time to un-ignore me then send another ninja rage tell.

I do not send rage tells, but I am social enough to have an exchange. Turning insults upside down and inside out is just as sweet as their succulent AP.

I've had some rage myself (warranted), and I have been the target of rage (often). I used to run with a PvP guild, but now I run solo. Since I am a nightblade, I can sneak around zergs pretty easily and grab resources on CP campaigns pretty easily. For the most part I'm limited to defending keeps/outposts and taking out stragglers who are part of 50+ man zergs.

That (solo-ganking), as well as only using coldfire siege get me the most rage whispers. Everyone seems to have something to say these days, because they don't expect to ever come face to face with the person they are talking to. It all comes down to personal experience, and how people were brought up. For me, if I just blatantly disrespected someone growing up or especially while in the military; someone would have made me eat my teeth. So I don't say anything I wouldn't say to someone face to face. For instance, the worst example of rage I have personally experienced is someone dying pretty much instantly to me. Their response was for threaten to ***/kill me or my family, tell me to kill myself, etc. ZOS chose to give them an official warning. Yet if they were sharing their account or cheating, they would be banned.

I frequently get upset myself with PvP just because of the state of it. If you aren't experiencing extreme performance issues in cyrodil, then one of the alliances (or more) is running a 100 man zerg. Or both at the same time lol. I have whispered people associated with those zergs just asking if they are seriously proud to be part of those groups. I am seriously curious. A lot of those guys will take a resource or outpost which has 10 people in it, and they run by the dead and tea bag like they achieved some incredible victory. Sorry, maybe I missed something along the way but I honestly couldn't play like that. You get hardly any AP, and you can't really say that you contributed to much of anything yourself. Regardless of what you kcreport says or the color you just turned the map. I literally watch as people within those large zergs spam light attacks (usually a bow-tard). People laugh or say "git gud, u mad" etc (very original by the way). I'm not mad, I'm truly sad. I feel sorry for them. Most of these folks have never won or competed in anything other than a video game in their lives. Not much can be done I supposed. Just let them rage, let them live how they choose. Those same people are living with mom/dad, or some crappy apartment. I'll take out all my anger on the race track, heh. Have fun with video game raging.

I was a BS Temp at the beginning of the DB update. A certain red group kept running into me, all attacking, some dying to my shield, every time though I eventually died. I received a message from a NB in this group telling me that my build was the worst and absolutely useless.

Week later, same scrub NB is running in the same group but half of them are now on BS Templars with Guard up.

Happens everywhere, every time. Like others have said, some feel entitled to a win. God forbid a lose or two comes knocking.

I've recently started playing a destro/resto magic nightblade, and I've never received this much rage. It amazes me that arguably the worst pvp class results in massive amounts of rage tells and bags.

Last night, I was watching a guild member duel in the arena district (we're Xbox NA), and I was ganked by a stam blade. I came back and proceeded to kill him 4 times in a row. The raging ensued after kill #2.

I've been called coward, for trying to hide and recover resources ( was trying new gear and was having sustain issues), by Mighty GM and then received good old fashioned t baging after he killed me. Was called awful by certain Princess, when me and another 5-6 randoms killed him, was accused of zerging by one of EP faction guild leaders, though these days 98% I run solo. Get lots of hate tells also from people who think I am Publius, since one of my chars have same last name. It's fun. Love it.
