Speaking of tbagging. Just fell off an outpost no health and some DK decides to give me a leap, executioner the works, the tbags me....seriously....well done. You earned about 3ap as I just spawned in ran to the top and fell off...that t bag was truly earned.

People get angry. Many don't like being beaten. The thing about PVP is that it is geared toward people who want to keep trying and eventually beat bosses. The competitive types. And the thing about PVP is that you will lose at some point. This creates agitation for players that want to win, do not like losing, and cannot deal with losing. So if you beat them, you become the target. I can only imagine how they rage when they hit bosses they cannot beat right away or in a reasonable amount of time.

Nobody likes losing. Some cannot handle it at all. I suspect also they need to get out and find ways to deal with stress and anger, like exercise, which helps burn off that steam and keeps stress down so that people aren't so easily agitated when they lose. Of course, who knows how many gamers hit the gym or get any kind of decent exercise that would minimize that feeling of stress/agitation that comes with being smacked down.

This kind of trash happens way too much in cyro. Yesterday I was shard running with a low level Mag NB. I was not far from a shard in a cave in another territory so I figured I would just try for it, and if I got killed no big deal. As I close in on the cave I get a whisper from one of my guildies and I didn't want to wait till later to fully respond since he's not on a lot. So I enter the cave and crouch right in at the entrance to avoid detection from foes that were just ahead of me but still out of range. While I'm in whispers with my guildie at max level enters the cave and kills me. I was level 10. My thoughts? What a loser tool. I mean really, the foes were alive so I was clearly not botting in case that person might have thought that. This is the kind of loser scum that trolls cyrodiil. I could never be bothered to kill someone so much lower than me. I'd more likely kill mobs to help them get the shard which I have done.

There are players in this game that are just scum. Not much you can do about it but hold yourself to a much much higher standard so that people who cross your path get a chance to see decent players rather than the some of the worst scum that trolls cyro.

This is mainly due to the demographic of PvP players in general. I've noticed that the PvE community is far less toxic and more mature than that of PvP, and I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that [snip] PvE players are usually adults who just come to this game for a casual experience after a long day. This is also reflected in the relationship between PvP and PvE players; PvP players often look down on and attempt to ridicule PvE players [snip], while PvE players generally don't give a rat's ass about what goes on in PvP.

The only toxicity I see in PvE is when you get a really bad group member, which is understandable because lets face it, it's not hard to get good at PvE.

The best hate tells are the ones where they send you a rude message and immediately ignore you so you can't reply. Not only can they not handle you killing them, emotionally they can't handle your reply as well.

I wouldn't say this as a magicka sorcerer at this point.
Most melees in pvp are too straight forward. They just want to try and kill you quickly and don't dodge as often as they should and don't really use tactic. This allows you to actually kill them as a mag sorc.

But ANY reasonable melee would definately melt you as a mag Sorc. It's not a good time to be one at this point, you are no longer safe. When you are good, you can compensate for a lot of things. But you will always be technically inferior to melees. Especially now in this heavy armor meta. If you can't burst an enemy from 100% to 0 with only daedric curse and crystal fragments (and it's unlikely that this happens) then you will never kill your target.

I love rage tells, they crack me up. My favorite was when I was running solo from Fare to Alessia because it was being sieged, 4 man group pops out of stealth to gank me, while we're fighting another 3-4 AD come out of Fare (presumably to also go to the siege at Alessia) and help me kill them off, then as I'm /shoveling, one of them whispers me crying about how I can't win fights on my own and had to call my zerg to come help me, then blocked me before I got a chance to respond.

Another fun one was when I had taken my Magicka DK into Cyrodiil for the very first time, and a Stamblade got wrecked trying to gank me. Whispered me that I'm garbage and the only thing I do is spam talons, which according to him is a broken skill. Once again, blocked me before I got a chance to respond.

That's the one thing I don't think I'll ever understand. If you're going to rage tell, why block the person immediately after? Its so much less entertaining when I can't even mess with the person.

I blocked a person on PlayStation because he started sending me hate messages for apparently being a "scrub" in Cyrodill so he went to the effort of logging into a different account just to continue ranting at me! I couldn't believe somebody could get themselves into such a state.

My favorite rage whisperer (I wish I recorded it

) was when this templar was killed by me about 3-4 times in either group fights (I just happened to get the killing blow) or while npcs were attacking him. he challenged me to a 1v1 and I killed him, then teabagged him because he kept rage whispering me. He ressed and attacked me again, spamming jesus beam, while I was trying to whisper him back. I killed him even faster than before. Then he blocked me but kept whispering me saying that his stamblade could reck me because I had no dps. He found me on his stamblade and tried to gank me only to die faster than ever. I teabagged him once again and luckily I was recording this time and got a nice little video on youtube

Yeah, I get lots of hate tell and 1v1 me bro tells ever since I start a raiding guild. We have a few now we'll chase to just get a hate tell. We're saving them all up in screenshots and eventually do something like celebrity MeanTweets.

Been in both situations, and I enjoy both. Had a player get salty when my four man was holding down a district flag. I enjoy being told how much better of a player someone else is, even though I just spent an hour farming that player.

ProTip: If you continue to walk into a farm, you're not in a good position to call other players bad.

My other favorite is the "zerg" griping. I run groups for a PvP guild, but they're not the best. Still, it's often the case that the "1v1 bro" kids start griping about how it's unfair that people in a multiplayer game are daring. To play. With multiple players.

Look, I hate getting run over by a mass of crabs as much as the next banana, but seriously, if you want a fair 1v1 fight, no one's stopping you from buying a copy of Street Fighter.

ProTip: If you gripe to me about my 6 man being a zerg because we obliterated your 4-man, I will return with 24. And stay.
