Each time you want to update the inbox it means changing server (re-zoning / entering outlaws refuge) or relogging.
When you do one of these actions then there is server interaction to place your character along with all the visuals in the new location.
On my characters I do this for the helper mails (logging into each character in turn) and twice a day (16 logs for mails).
Also, as a crafter, I get requests by mail which to see I normally need to update the inbox.
Taking this wider to all players online you can imagine this introduces a load on the ZOS servers which could impact general server response times for other activity.
My idea is for ZOS to add interactive mailboxes at suitable locations such as Banks, Wayshrines, Crafting locations, etc.
These mailboxes would allow a character to refresh the inbox, ideally for all characters but at the very least for itself.
Any thoughts on this?
