Need help - how to approach the new update in October with regards to saving pledge keys

Hey everyone
So I have been gathering gold keys via doing bonus tasks for daily vet pledges and now I have like 10 gold & 5 silver keys
I have accumulated a large number of different helms from various sets such as Velidreth, Engine Guardian, Blood Spawn, Bogdan and so on
But I have discovered that I do not have shoulders for those sets, I do not have shoulders for Velidreth set, Engine Guardian set, etc...
Now the question is the following:
Yes, I would really like to get the shoulders for Ancient Guardian or Velidreth, so to have a full 2 slot amor set
However, by opening chests now (so to get a chance for getting a shoulder as a 2nd item of a set I partly have) I will loose the opportunity to instantly open 10 gold & 5 silver chests when the new update comes out in October
Thus I will loose a chance to instantly get some of the new shoulders of the upcoming October update
With the new update we are promised to receive 10+ new 2 slot amor sets, which means that after the new update I will have less chance to receive Engine Guardian Shoulder or Velidreth Shoulder, or Blood Spawn, because the higher the overall number of Monster Sets, the smaller the chance to get what you exactly want
At the same time if I start opening up chests now, I risk to get rubbish items, while in contrast if I open chests after the update I will have a higher chance to get some valuable items, but though will again have less chance to get shoulders of those sets for which I have helms e.g. Blood Spawn, Velidreth, etc..
So should I open chests now or after the update?
Would really appreciate any suggestions & thoughts

Destyran✭✭✭✭✭Well if you have all dlcs you can open now because after updaye you can get 6keys a day so id say go for it i have 40+ gold keys and 30 or so silvers but its just because i have everything i need. If you need them shoulders open it boii0 -

✭I think i read something about there are gonna be 3 chests as well.
1 for the old main game sets
1 for the DLC sets
1 for the Tamriel One sets
So if you're after Velidreth you can get it much easier since u can put all of 'em in the DLC set chest.

This is correct. The current gold chest will give the DLC sets, the current silver will give the existing monster sets, and the current bronze chest will give the new monster sets. This is incorrect. There will be one chest for DLC shoulders. But the other two chests will be a mixture of old and new sets.
One chest:
Spindleclutch I & II

The ones ending in "II" are the existing monster shoulders from base game veteran dungeons. The ones ending in "I" are new shoulders coming from a base game normal dungeons. The ones with no Roman numeral qualifier are new shoulders coming from base game dungeons that never got a Veteran version. So Spindleclutch I & II means chest has a chance at both existing Blood Spawn shoulder and the new Swarm Mother shoulder.

A new monster shoulder like Ilambris or Swarm Mother? Hold onto keys, of course.
A DLC monster shoulder like Kena or Velidreth? Hold onto keys. You will have a better chance to get it when new chest with only the 4 DLC shoulders comes out.
A non-DLC monster shoulder that is already in the game? Use keys now if you are a PvE player interested in Divines. Hold onto keys if you are a PvP player looking for Impenetrable.
The only instance to use keys now is if you want Divines and are interested in an existing non-DLC shoulder like Blood Spawn or Valkyn Skoria or Neri'enth. Right now, there are 12 possible shoulders in gold key chest with 7 possible traits. With One Tamriel, there will still be 12 shoulders in each non-DLC chest, but there will be 8 traits because Impenetrable is being added. That means you will be roughly 14% less likely to get Divines once One Tamriel goes live.0 -

✭✭✭✭Save the keys (but take into account the advice above).
After the update, use the keys on the chests that drop the set you are looking for - so as an example, if you want a DLC monster shoulder, use your keys on the chest for the DLC shoulders.
All keys will be the same, so you can run any dungeon from the pledges that day and use the key on any chest to narrow down the RNG (can't guarantee you a good trait however, but at least you stand a better chance of completing the set you want).Edited by Epona222 on September 27, 2016 8:20PMGM - Ghost Sea Trading Co - NA PC

Just to summarise what you said so to be clear
After the update, there are going to be 3 chests:
Chest 1 - will contain shoulders that drop in those Dungeons which you get if you buy the according DLC e.g. Velidreth (Shadow of Hist), Molag Kena (Imperial City), etc...
Chest 2 - contain shoulders that drop now in dungeons which have previously had veteran mode, but now will have 2 levels of difficult because the second lvl difficulty will contain new amor sets
But then can you open such chest with a key deserved from doing such dungeon with difficult lvl "I" and get a new amor set or such new amor set is only available if u did lvl "II" difficulty dungeon
Chest 3 - contain nea amor sets that drop in those dungeons that previously did not have vet mode
So according to your statements it is better to hold the keys, as I want Velidreth/Kena & other new amor sets & not really interested in Blood Spawn & other non-DLC shoulders
