Dad Gaming Help

My father's beginning to play ESO. He's 60, played WoW casually for the last ~6 years. He needs to do almost everything he can with his left hand. My advice only goes so far since, while I've 'been here' since ESO started, I'm very much a casual and not a techie. We could use your help!! So questions:

1) Can you think of a mouse type product that would allow someone to control their PC in combat completely with the left hand?
2) What general build direction would you take for a very forgiving, easy to manage skill rotation-wise, PvE play style? (preferred play style?... generally "just killing stuff".... [while staying alive])

Thank you!!

Magicka Templar. Very easy to manage health while doing damage. And while you can load them down with a ton of DOTs, you can really cut down on their abilities and give them a nice, compact build that focuses on spamming Puncturing Sweeps, which seems like something I'd recommend.
    PC NA CP 531+
Aedric Fury Sits Around Doing Nothing
    Sola Auroron Magicka Templar
    Lunaria Chimeri Magicka Dragonknight
The Chosen of the Storm Stamina Sorcerer

    Sanctius Luxen Stamina Templar
    Nerwaye Auroron Magicka Sorcerer
    Warden Vyrkyl Stamina Dragonknight
    The Ninth Adventurer Stamina Nightblade

Logitech G13 maybe... For sure if he could use a trackball in with his right hand for camera movement.

    oRoR53k.png

If he can't use his right hand for camera movement, the stick could be(I think) remapped to act as the mouse. Forward walk g4, walk backwards g11, stafe left g10, right g12.

Could also use the G13 in combination with Stinky Gaming Footboard(can be found on Amazon) for the movement (W,A,S,D) commands

Wow.. thank you both... I thought a Templar might be the best base class to work with. Thank you for that Totalitarian.

That G13 is sweet. Almost got that once myself.... and, yes, that looks like the right answer. The stinky board is incredible. I will certainly be getting one myself! Thanks for both references Runs!

Could save so much hassle if they would just allow us to keymap mouselook like every other game *sigh* ..
going through (hopefully temp) issues with my right arm atm, and not shelling out for fancy gaming stuffs unless I have to *crosses fingers*.

I hope your dad enjoys the game! One of my first quest buddies in game was a 65 y/o ~ we had an absolute blast :)

Tell that to my wife. I'm 42 and thinks video games are for young kids to late teens or very early 20 somethings going through Uni. Yeah, just got one of those females that don't get it. Yet, she'll happily watch all the trash TV of the day on MTV and the likes.

    I'd agree with magicka templar.

I'm glad to see a 60 year old starting the game, I always find it nice to see a younger player joining in  !

You know is truly amazing to see people around those years and wanting to play videogames. Im 33 and soon I will be father too and I hope to continue playing games in my 60s...

To read this makes me feel good.

And I recommend magplar too. Im having a blast with magplar and this is being my 7th char. I love my stamplar too but to me is more enjoyable being a magplar.

Well I'm a 40+ female that loves gaming & so do my boys. It's their dad who just doesn't get it and hates us playing. Even though we do loads of other stuff outside the house......but then he is an utter Luddite.

Magika temnplar is a lady class, I dont know about OP but there is no way id let my father be a magika templar.

personally my old man would be a stam sorc, because my old man is alpha and doesnt play no lady class.

Exactly what I was going to recommend. For a class to play I say stamsorc. Surge, hurricane, and just steel tornado everything. Optimal? No, but very easy to play and needs minimal skills to get things done.
