Drop Rates And Exchange Rates On Crown Crates

Up until today I was totally backing up ZOS with the whole crown crates thing, cause in the end their employees deserve to eat too, but after testing it myself on the PTS server today I'm quite upset with how unfair it is. I expected the drop rates to be considerably higher on the cosmetic items than they were. I used all the crowns I had on the boxes and only got two pets, and three costumes. I also got two duplicates which gave me 10 crown gems. 10! That would mean if I really wanted those awesome looking atronach mounts I'd need to get 80 duplicates! As someone who came into this expecting somewhere between a 1:1 ratio to a 1:5 ratio when it came to the exchange this is just baffling. In my opinion they should increase the amount of crown gems dropped or give a higher chance to drop non-consumable items. What's your take on this?

It seems like you'll have to spend around 30-50k crowns (depending on your luck? and your previously collected items) to get 400 gems to buy one of the storm mounts. That's from what I've gathered from the vids anyway.
I was hopeful at first. Now I feel it costs too much and spending 400 crowns to mainly get consumable items, to me, is really counterproductive.
You either turn a blind eye on the cost and burn away your money or don't participate at all

They have packed them full of cool *** to make sure they will sell. So they can tell us how popular they are and continue making them.
When they overpriced the glowy blue cat and it didn't net them the sales numbers they wanted they returned to the tried and true gambling method.
Some customers won't care, as some who does care very much about how and where I spend a dollar and with the number of dollars I've consciously decided to throw at zenimax over the last year plus on PS4, I'm insulted.
The truly disgustingly sad part is they don't honestly care about loosing a customer over this *** because they are going to make so much money on the atronach mounts they will be popping champagne a pissing rivers of gold.
About a month after these drop and I get tired of looking at *** I can't buy you will loose my sub,

✭✭Other. (Please explain!)Just scrap the whole stupid greedy idea and sell us these items at the usual inflated rates - the whole thing is just designed to extract money from a certain type of addictive personality and is worse than EAs aproach to this sort of stuff.
Now we know moral arguments won't work on ZOS so here's a practical one... sooner or later this is going to lead to one of those news paper stories were either some kid has racked up several thousand on his parents credit cards to try and get some awesome mount or someone does something tragic and newsworthy because they have got themselves into debt off it.3 -

2) Remove consumable garbage
3) Raise the gems given through exchange by 5x
It should be a toss up.
Should I outright purchase the exact mount I want, or take a gamble to get a similar Atronach-based mount for less/more Crowns along with miscellaneous stuff?
What I said here applies to the Wild Hunt mounts as well!.... yup, that's right! ZOS already has a second batch ready to go. Every mount type, all nature-based (wooden with green light theme).
The current system reflects extremely poorly on ZOS. Even pissed off a good portion of loyal players with the greedy way these Crown Crates were implemented.
Fork over $500+ to get a single random Atronach themed mount..... Gtfo2 -
Wow✭✭✭✭✭Other. (Please explain!)They should at least reduce the Crown Crate price. It is priced 400 Crowns, under standard price Crown (not in sales) that's around $4, for each crate. THAT is my friend, is the most expensive RNG Boxes I ever see.
Overwatch crate priced around $1 each, not to mention you can just play the game for 1 hour or less, voila you get 1 crate for free.
Hearthstone card pack priced around $1.5 each, not to mention you can just play the game and do the daily quests, voila you get 1 pack for 100 gold.
Not to mention Blizzard does have Pity Timer, that sides with the customers. http://pitytracker.com/ Which mean if you've been getting trash lately the bigger the chance you are getting Legendary next pull. And on 40th pull would be 100% chance of Legendary drop.
CSGO, Dota2, tf2 keys is around $2 ish.
Now compare that 400 Crowns price that we have here, and its drop rate. It feels like Apex Reward has 1% drop chance, so you would need to dish around 40k Crowns to get one of those Storm atronach mount. That's like 290$ ? Or something.
