Stuck in a rut so bad

I'm often stuck in a rut when it comes to the game. With 7 level 50 characters, I make new ones to try something new but then dread the concept of having to level them that I go back to my existing ones.

Hahaha too cool for skool . I agree , play the way you like with races . The margins are not over substantial and there are no negative effects in the racial trait tables . If there were negatives then I would most certainly have to rethink race more but there is not .

If you want to start doing dungeons and such, there is a dungeon/trial group on PC/NA for people that are perhaps not as experienced. They have a post up in the guild recruitment section, its called Friendly Dungeon Runners. I haven't had a chance to run anything yet with them, but they seem like the right spot for those of us that haven't run every group dungeon and every trial 50 kabillion times. They seem to be more about having fun than if anyone is running just the right gear or has the right race/class combo.

STOP grinding is my advice. Just play the game. Enjoy its full richness. Grinding is the fastest way to wreck the game for yourself. Enjoy the content, play as it comes and balance will return.

Slowplay, craft, trade and you will have more than enough mats and gold to do what you need when you need.

Enjoy the journey not just the destination!!

I hope you're running a full set of Training trait gear since it will give you over 70% XP gain with enemy kills combine that with XP Scrolls and you gain CP extremely quick; will be even easier once One Tamriel launches and you don't lose XP against 'lower level' enemies.

I'm kinda experiencing similar on PS4 NA. I have nothing atm. I'm level 5. Whereas EU I have a million CP, mats, gold...So I understand the feeling.

What I tend to do is listen/watch youtube on my tablet (or Netflix, amazon etc.) and wander around public dungeon, dolmens or DLC areas.

The great thing about doing everything again is that you don't have to pay too much attention

If that isn't working then just play for a bit at a time and not force yourself into it.

You need a good and friendly trading guild! After being in the one I'm currently in for awhile, I make a fair amount of gold each week. The guild I'm in, Royal Bank of Tamriel, is currently full, but I'm some inactives are going to be kicked soon. We're NA PC with a trader in Elden Root. If you need a good trading guild that doesn't demand you make so much in a week, let me know!

And this guild has really helped me with my lack of motivation and social anxiety. Everyone has been so nice, and we do all sorts of PVE stuff.

I've gotten more gold tempers from refining raw mats recently than ever before. Rng gremlins still hate me when I'm trying to find nirncrux, but they've let up a little on the gold tempers... Did a stack of 26 rubedite and ended up with one gold. Wonder if that will carry over when I get enough to make up a new stack of 10....

Yes thank you I would like to be learning trials and dungeons .

No unfortunately I've been doing this without training gear . I'll look into getting a set for grind days . Thank you .

Oh no ! Starting over is so hard @Cazzy . Lots of hard work to be done . I am feeling better today as I started taking advice from here yesterday and have made better progress . Everything is going to be ok I think lol

I just hit 8 max level characters, but before vet rank removal I only had one. At the time I had 4 other vets that instantly became max level and have since gotten 3 other characters to level 50 and subsequently max level.

All of them are geared out with purple cp150/160 armor and jewelry, with gold weapons. My biggest expense as you can expect is Tempering Alloy. I spent 250k gold on gearing out my most recent character and most of that was on 24 Tempering Alloys. I've played since launch but am constantly running out of purple and gold boosters.

The question is how to do it? I usually play around 4 hours/day Mon - Fri and a little more on Sat/Sun. I spend the majority of time in PVP so I sell any useful rewards for the worthy I get as well as campaign rewards. I do writs on my one crafter and sell any Dreugh Wax and Rosin I get. I take the Kuta and make gold glyphs to sell. I farm motif pages from Thieves Guild heists and Dark Brotherhood sacraments, and delve bosses from those same dlcs. I sell all the intricate armor and weapons from pledge runs on my templar healer. Generally I can pull 100-200k per week from my guild trader depending on what I get. All the little things can add up.

This all great advice and I am mixing it up now and doing thieves stuff at Anvil castle with Blade of Woe , Grinding a little bit less but still grinding for XP and doing the Writs for mats as well . Thank you for the great advice .

Also I would like to thank all my new friends for the enormous help . It is so touching how awesome people are here . The royal Bank of Tamriel Guild and the friends that sent most helpful gifts to speed things up . One person I do not know if they wish to be named but was kind and helpful , a fellow MagBlade , I am truly fortunate to have been helped so much . Best gaming community here then any other game I have ever played in . Just amazing people and friends here .
