Okay so question. I was running this boss with my guild a week ago, and we discovered you can roll dodge her "statue mechanic." She did a weird animation before she threw the orange goo at you and we'd yell "dodge!" We'd all roll, and dodge it, and avoid the mechanic. However, last night we were playing it, and when we rolled, the goo would freeze in midair, then follow us as we'd roll.
