How far along are you on console? CP points? traits research? crown items purchased? dlc purchases? and/or mount speed?
One more thing... being a regular forum-goer... I question the longevity of the game right now. The game is severely unbalanced, and the devs seem to ignore or dismiss any constructive feedback from the player base. Over time, they've had questionable money-grabbing tactics, and the implementation of loot crates seems to really be a tipping point for many. It might not be the best time to come back. ; P (says someone who has still considered starting over, because she believes that the devs will get things right eventually, even if it's not until 2017.)
Hmm... your investment, time-wise, on console is moderate, but it probably wouldn't take too long to get to that point if you started on PC. Money-wise, it's also not that bad. You'll just be missing out on a few costumes.
I've been considering starting over on PC lately as well, so these are the thoughts I've been having:
-the cost of buying the base game on PC would be as low as $20 (there's a gold edition that comes with the 4 dlcs, but I would rather sub than buy the dlcs - crafting bag + costume dyeing)
-I would no longer have to pay for PS plus to be able to play ESO, which would save me some money (I've heard the ps plus price will be going up next year).
-PC version has really convenient mods, like skyshard locations, market price look up functions, etc. Bethesda's mods for skyrim and fallout 4 were recently rejected by Sony, so having mods on ps4 for eso is not only out of the question dev priority-wise but also sony-wise.
-with one tamriel, leveling up a new character to 50 will be painless and maybe a little fun.
-however, I've heard that the PvP community on PC is more cruel than on consoles b/c they have macros and cheat engines, and PC players are probably more elitist b/c they've been around longer and have more technologically committed players
-console tends to have more young people. pc probably older (this would be a good thing for me, but depends on the person), and console has voice chat, but for pc you'd have to use an external software like Team Speak or Ventrillo
@MissBizz xD It's so subjective. I'm 27 ys/o. I just might be older than you. I'd rather play with people my age, which is why I think PC might be better for me.
On PS4, it's really awkward when I pug a dungeon or something and I hear a 12 year old on the mic. I thought ESO was for 18+. -.-

It has a HDMI port so would I just hook an HDMI from the laptop to the TV and would I be able to play ESO like that? I'd set up the xbox controller instead of mouse and keyboard but wondering if I'd run into any issues? I have considered purchasing the Alienware Alpha to play ESO because the mods for skyshards , quests, crafting, etc. are so much better on PC.
Might also need to fiddle around with your playback device settings (speakers or TV) when you switch it to TV.Deathgiggle wrote: »I'd like to know if it is easy to hook up the PC to the TV? Yea just plug the hdmi into the TV.

I played alot on PS4 and loved it but I bought PC a couple months ago and I enjoy PC gaming way more than console now. And I hear eso is better on PC and the community is bigger?
Anyway I miss eso and want to return, should I pick up where I left off on console or make the switch to PC?
Edit: sorry if this is the wrong spot to post this.

If you enjoy ESO and the MMO schtick in general, why not? It doesn't really take that long to get back to CP 300+ if you play most days. The only crappy part is losing all of your purchases. ZOS really needs to allow account copy cross-platform. : /
