ZOS doesn't care, just posting it to prove a point

So when you do a dungeon, if you do a qued pledge, and you kill at least the first boss, anyoen queing for that pledge will not get their pledge since you killed the boss.

ZOS also for whatever reason disallowed us from inviting outside players into our ques.

Please fix your game.

why not post it as a bug instead of in general discussion.

It's not even a bug. It's just an unfortunate coincidence. Sometimes I queue for a random veteran dungeon and the people are on the last boss. No complaints from me because I still get the XP and mail at the end.

Actually they do this because they don't like you specifically.
They have meetings just to determine how they can upset @Smasherx74 , didn't you know?

I didn't say it was, and I'm not the one who had the issue, other people had the issue coming into the last boss of gold pledge today.

You don't seem to understand what an expectation is. ZOS needs to address it come update 12.

Lol well you didnt exactly kill the boss did you? So how on Earth do you expect them to give it to you?

I can imagine some of you asking your parents for something stupid and unrealistic then when the answer is no you hit them with the "see this is proof you dont care. Fix your parenting up"

You're line of thinking is astonishing to me.

Simply do not allow people to join ques that are already so far into the dungeon, or on the flip side update their pledge quest according to the groups.

More likely it will be the first one, if ZOS does anything to circumvent this issue.

Edit: Okay I'm sorry but you've triggered me. This is a false equivalence, Asking something stupid =/= Handling an expectation. (Good troll, you really got me.)

Perhaps it's all in the delivery. With a title such as, 'ZOS doesn't care, just posting it to prove a point', one would expect the text to prove that point. However, pointing out a bug or something someone doesn't like about the game, doesn't really seem to prove that ZOS is sitting around saying, 'Nope, we don't care'.

Honestly, I think the issue of getting dropped into an in-progress dungeon and not being able to complete the pledge because of it is a valid concern. But because of OP's attitude and the way he's framed it I want to just automatically dismiss everything he posts.

It's an expectation in their group finder feature. So yes, ZOS does not care. You don't have to be a programmer to understand the issue here... or well at least I didn' think you had to be.

No, no it's not. And frankly, you saying that is extremely offensive to anyone who has ever encountered actual bigotry.

Bigotry is when you are prejudiced against someone based on race/religion/culture/sex/background/etc. I don't know anything at all about you that I could possibly be prejudiced against you for.

The system is extremely flawed. Dungeon finder will put people into a dungeon that is half way or majority completed, yet will return full XP for completing the dungeon but not update the silver/gold pledge request.

Instead of turning this into an ad hominem, can you please be reasonable? (speaking to everyone, not just you)

I will only address a few words in the title, of which are "Zos doesn't care". I explain this in a quick and easy manner. In all honesty they don't have to care what players think. The main and possibly the only reason why they do care is in order to continue making a profit from the game.

That's irrelevant, if you're going to respond then read the thread.

Since the start of group fidner, ZOS has never handled the expectation of people looking for a certain pledge being brought into the middle of a dungeon then having to redo the dungeon up to that boss they missed for the pledge quest.

It's not hard, people are just being people. I'm literally exposing how ZOS doesn't care, and quite literally the community doesn't care. As far as I'm concerned, I've proven many points here, the up most important being there is lack of interest in fixing the fundamentals of the game. People are much more interested in attacking people they think they disagree with, and much more interested in things they personally feel effected by. It's depressing.

This is kind of fun, since @UrQuan did get the definition of bigotry wrong (or rather, less than 100% correct I suppose - too narrow - lots of dictionaries out there, but in essence what you described is a sufficient quality to be a bigot, but not a necessary one), however he was quite correct that "bigot" was not accurate to describe his position, as alleged by @Smasherx74 (there is sufficient information to make an informed and reasonable judgment upon which to dismiss the OP based on tone rather than content)

    Learning is fun :)

I hate getting into a dungeon just at the end, but I've always been the suck it up and carry on sort. Guess enough years in the army will condition the brain that way.

Example of how this is totally wrong.

Person 1: Climate change doesn't matter, it's taken out of proportion.

Person 2: THE WORLDS TEMPERATURES ARE RISING, THE NORTH POLE IS MELTING! SEA LEVELS ARE RISING! THE OCEANS ARE BECOMING MORE ACIDIC! BEACHES AND VILLAGES ARE BEING DESTROYED BY RISING OCEANS. ANIMALS ARE GOING TO GO EXTINCT BECAUSE OF CLIMATE CHANGE.

Your only information to dismiss what I have said is I claimed ZOS doesn't care. I gave evidence to my argument which is irrefutable. They have not handled the expectation of people using the group finding and being put mid-way into a dungeon thus breaking the completion of a silver/gold pledge.

Once again, someone is attempting to make an irrational argument. I realize my title may be triggering you, but please bare with it. The facts are not up for argument, ZOS needs to address he group finder issues with pledges come update 12 when the lack of players using group finder should be "fixed". We're going to see less times on group finders, it's only reasonable they create measure to circumvent the issue of people coming in too late to complete their pledge.

This wouldn't be a fundamental issue, had ZOS not disallowed us from ivniting outside people into our que'd group. Yet another reason why somethiung must be done for update 12. It's a fundamental mechanic of many MMOs, it's reasonable that ZOS should do something to handle their expectations with the group finder.

    I think I'm done here.
