That said, PvE is more awesome than ever with all of the new loot next patch!
I'll be doing PvE in One Tamriel.
Vaoh is finally retiring Haderus! Too dangerous being one of the only truly dangerous solo players left in Cyrodiil, so ZOS went out of their way to break down Mag Sorcs into worthlessness in PvP (or Negate monkeys...) and continue to directly buff Stamina in every way.
Can I still run solo and be very successful? Yeah.
Can the same be said for 99% of other Magicka Sorcs left out there? Nope.
Balance PvP and it'll have meaning again. It's a skill-less, disgusting Stamina meta out there I want no part in. Peace Haderus. May the Tower farms continue to show us all who can PvDoor best.0 -
jhharvest✭✭✭PVP is often fun. It's also often broken to the extent that it stops being fun. I hope that we can get a lot of stuff toned down; healing is too high when you stack all healing buffs, damage is too high when you stack all damage buffs, mitigation is too high when combined even moderate healing. TTK is both too short (if you don't stack mitigation / healing and enemy stacks damage) and too long (enemy stacks healing and mitigation).
When people don't run cheese combos, PVP is great fun though. Soft caps would probably help (less incentive to push your builds to the max, and therefore more opportunities to try fun stuff without getting absolutely mauled), but ideally I'd like stuff to get... Balanced.

✭✭✭✭✭Hard to vote because both your poll options are one extreme or the other with nothing inbetween. It's also situational for me. I enjoy fighting in IC a lot more than open world Cyrodiil. The only thing I do find unbalanced is some of the sets, like "wear these then light attack to victory". Then you have sets like Malubeth. This set is actually fine on most classes now, but on Templars it's still overperforming, and you don't want to nerf it again just because it overperforms on a class, or because of vitality pots.
There's no magicka counterpart to Viper and Velidreth. There's a stam set that gives you increased weapon damage for dodge rolling - what about a set that increases spell damage when you cast a shield?
So, for me, PVP is only frustrating when I'm fighting people with sets such as these, or those abusing bugs like macroslicing. Other than that, IC PVP is a lot of fun for the most part.0 -
Francescolg✭✭✭✭Too much sets (and skills) in favour of stamina specs and, absolutely, no good news for the next patch, concerning that matter!
I stopped playing PvP for the moment, thanks to Viper Set, Dreugh King Slayer (no magicka equivalent..), etc. etc.., stupid burst builds and even with the 50% pvp-malus, PvP isn't fun.

✭Cyrodil is just boring. Horse travel a ton, to get zerged down, ganked or end up snoozing on seige equipment. With a good, communicating group you actually have strategy and roles but majority of time it's just burst down 1 opponent at a time and spam heals.
The playstyle is just dated. No giant battle ground for AvAvA combat. No objectives for small groups. Exploitable mechanics. Ap farming. Players allowed Alternates in different alliances on the same campaigns. Every keep is soo blah. Long campaigns that are not very rewarding. Less about skill and gameplay and more about better gear, higher ranks, better build etc.
People love playing vs other players so I'm sure most people will say it's fun but broken.1 -

Actually, I think there's plenty of very successful every-single-combination out there. I keep hearing stamina is better right now, but I keep finding it pretty balanced in battle in Cyrodiil. but that's just my .02Keir0 -
Metemsycosis✭✭✭✭Pvp is why I keep playing. The lag frustrates me much worse than the opponents do, because if I can't CC-break with full stamina, for example, and then die that's one thing I can't do differently. Nothing I can do to change the outcome besides avoid battle. However if i die to something "op" there are counters to devise or discover. I am still optimistic about gear and class balances. Seems to me each class is enjoying time in the lime light before it gets the Nerf and ZOS has already proven capable of dialing down skills and gear that over perform.
