Oblivion had it in a very minor way - added in the Mehrunes' Razor DLC. You could consume a beating heart to get a disease called Cannibal's Prion.WalksonGraves wrote: »A huge draw to their games has always been the option to play as a complete psycho. No cannibalism in Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout or Fallout 2. It is present in Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 4 and Skyrim.
So if anything, it is part of a (Bethesda's) Fallout franchise, and in the Elder Scrolls series (with the exception of Skyrim ) it only appears as lore or as rumor/curio, just like in ESO.
With that said, I wouldn't mind the inclusion of cannibalism (emote is fine too) to ESO; whatever helps with roleplay/immersion.

Fill the gap ZOS ! Where's Namira ?
I don't know why people wish for that. Bethesda Game Studios have no concept of balance and their games are notoriously buggy, ESO really wouldn't be any better if they were directly involved. At least ZOS has decent writers, so the questlines are enjoyable.Father_X_Zombie wrote: »ESO wasn't developed by Bethesda (as much as i wish it was), ZOS made it and are just using the Elder Scrolls name for an MMORPG.
Im sure that when Bethesda rolls out TES6 there will be plenty of cannibalism
@Father_X_Zombie @KaleidoscopeEyz
Not really a valid argument here. By that logic ZOS could leave anything out of the game no matter how big or how small. You either have the rights to make the game or you don't.
It was mentioned couple of times by officials that ZOS and Bethesda work tightly and communicate about lore.
And, as already stated in this thread, there is cannibalism in ESO, just not as usable mechanic or emote.

But Bethesda didnt have devs working on ESO, they may have been consulted for lore but never worked on the game. they just published it and let ZOS use the Elder Scrolls title. lore has been broken on numerous occasions to work with the game, so saying Bethesda is responsible for the game itself isnt true

Never said that the Bethesda is responsible for the game (other that giving rights to ZOS, consulting and publishing it), I'm saying that your statement, that there is no cannibalism in ESO because it was not made by Bethesda, is ridiculous.

The Forgotten Crypts in Deshaan. It's where you get the Questionable Meat Sack (it's people!).anitajoneb17_ESO wrote: »Care to help me refresh my memories please ?There is ONE quest in a public dungeon that's entirely focused on said forbidden meat. =Panitajoneb17_ESO wrote: »Good question. In fact, the Questionable Meat Sack IS a sack of humanoid flesh which you can trick other players into eating, so... yeah, in a way, cannibalism is alive and well in ESO, and you can get other players to unintentionally ingest some fellow travelers.

Ehem
Morrowind
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Human_Flesh
Human Flesh is an extremely rare ingredient. It cannot be harvested from humans. It is identical to Rat Meat in appearance, though not in effects.
btw most imersion/realism mods tweak a game a bit so all human start droping this
Fallout 1
http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Iguana_bits_(Fallout)
In Fallout, it is found out that some iguana bits are actually human flesh bought from Doc Morbid in Junktown. These are sold at a discount, and appear as chunks-on-a-stick instead of an actual iguana-on-a-stick.
Good read about cannibalism in Fallout series
http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Cannibalism
In general cannibalism is present in one way or the other in most of Bethesda cRPG's.
Someone have kind of wicked sense of humor ;D
Btw, TESO dont need any more cannibal theme,s that we have allready in game
its hilarious that this is like second thread in a week about this that i see on a forum, and posters have no clue about "cannibalistic lore" in Elder Scroll series (uh, uh Bosmers -btw ALL bosmers can more or less turn into a "human eating monsters by Wild Hunt rituals")
They're wolves, not dogs, Santie. Much more majestic, almost no barking.SantieClaws wrote: »TX12001rwb17_ESO wrote: »So what drawback is there in being a werewolf Again?
The nasty smell of doggy always being in the air. The drooling, the barking and the cold wet nose.
Yuck!
Yours with paws

That's only when you choose to transform which don't need to do, so again what is the drawback for being a Werewolf? what can a non-werewolf do that a werewolf player in Human form cannot?TX12001rwb17_ESO wrote: »So what drawback is there in being a werewolf Again?Lucius_Aelius wrote: »Thevampirenight wrote: »Well I do think they should add a skill line for it. That gives you the abilty to eat a corpse but gives bonus health regen/magicka regen and bonus stamina regen for fifteen minutes if the corpse you eat happens to be your own race. As well as temp bonuses to health stamina and magicka pool for eatting a corpse. If your a vampire they can add a perk that gives bonus damage for feeding on corpses while a vampire This will give also give a special feeding animation bending down and biting into the corpse then drinking the blood but after you can then eat the corpse again with the normal cannibalism animation. So they can make this count for vampirism feeding and canibalism. I would like to see this.
There would need to be a drawback for balance, unless you're suggesting that every player should be a cannibal, which is both utterly preposterous and extremely gross and I want no part of it. Just like with Vampires and Werewolves there needs to be something sacrificed for whatever is gained through cannibalism or else anyone not being a cannibal will be gimping themselves, and there's no part of that which is anything close to okay. You guys can be psychos if you want but leave the rest of us with no interest out of it.
You get a weakness to poisons when in WW form. And no benefits if you don't have the WW ultimate slotted in your active bar
