How is grinding pay to win? You don't pay for it, you just grind and then pick what you want. It might even take longer then with RNG since with that you can still get lucky and get it to drop on the first try.
Token system please. The rng is bad enough and purposely weighted towards dropping crap to keep people running content. Token system lets you get what you want after however many runs.
Trait changing system would also be very nice.
If you've been screwed over by RNJesus 20 times running the same dungeon, one would hope you could get the set piece you were after. If after an arbitrary number, say 15 runs, you received as many tokens to get 1 guaranteed desired piece in the trait you want too?

How is completing the content for a token that you can save, and build up for something you actually want, not working for it ? A token for every boss you kill and 2 or 3 for the final boss or something. A vendor with the items for a set amount of tokens. That way you work for what you want and not for a prosperous Kena helm for the 15th time.
