All traders should be located in the major towns in each zone. Often wonder how much business those traders get that sit in some random area in each zone. Then you come across traders with next to nothing for sale, even though are located in a prime area. Got to be a better option.

As for the people complaining about searching for items in the guild stores. There is this addon called "AwesomeGuildStores." I'm so sorry no one told you about it before now...

Doubt you're the only one not liking the current system. Unfortunately, doubt things are going to change anytime soon. Numerous discussions are raised about changing away from guild traders.
Smasherx74 wrote: »Nope, works fine as is. If there is dummy traders then that is the communities fault for not taking the trader spot.
The real issue with traders, is large multi-millionaire guilds that can afford to start a 2nd roster and overbid a certain location until they get that guild more established.
Happen to me in bleakrock.
Explain yourself how does it work as is?

Sadly, ZoS and certain players are stuck on this obtuse concept. They'll get over it eventually. Easiest way to speed up the transition is to do the above.
My proposal is to take away the bidding, if u have 400 inactive members and only 100 members actually selling items. Your profit margin is going to be much lower compare to guild that has max members.
This would take away guilds from having a dummy trader and force guilds to actually clean out they guilds every month. Maybe its a lot different on PC compared to console, I dont know. I play Xbox, and see a lot of dummy traders popping up every week. How can u compete with top tier traders forcing out the little guy, so u only buy from them.
By using my proposal, every trader bases on member count. Would ease the stress on small guilds, giving them a fair chance at building a market. U still will have a top tier guilds in capital cities, but prices would stabilize a lot faster.
By having more than guild trader per kiosk, it would easier to sellers to sell item at more fair rate, pricing wouldn't be expensive from trader to another. While it wont completely fix the problem, u would still have issues with bunk buyers. Though competing with more people, it would more difficult to control the market as it is now.

That's because ZOS allows cross platform accounts...no other mmo I played ever did this, no game I ever played ever did this, ZOS only did this for the sake of ensuring players on console. As result people change over tons of cheap mats and gold then make a killing on console.
Blame cross platform accounts, not the guild system...

Guild ranks never worked, its just overrated hassle that I hope I never have to deal with
If it were a seasonal thing it would. Like the leader boards and guild ranks reset every 3 months. And they have to restart again. This would insure that only active guilds get these bonuses.
Active I can see working, but u and I know how well leaderboards is work in eso. Meh, not so well. Give us an example how u guilds would acquire ranks, what bonuses would u get.

Wait, we can transfer our characters to consoles from PC at anytime?

Wasn't it just one time deal when console was first release.

That's what I thought until I read this comment about transfering endless amounts of cheap resources... and I'm like... WAT?
Also, I read Final Fantasy had cross platform play.
You can't transfer characters between platforms in ESO. It was a one-time offer which ended a year ago, nobody has transferred since then.Smasherx74 wrote: »My proposal is to take away the bidding, if u have 400 inactive members and only 100 members actually selling items. Something needs to be done about Guild Traders. Certain players have multiple guild traders, creating a monopoly and even an alliance of traders, so it is very difficult to hire a trader. In some cities it costs 1-3 mil to hire a trader for one week. Then as people have mentioned here, these individuals also use dummy traders to block up a spot so there is no competition.
I have a trade guild because I got fed up with the attitude of other trade guilds and these elite monopolising players. However I would gladly give up having guild traders for one central Auction House, where everyone has the chance to sell and buy items, where prices are driven down and players that do not LIVE inside the game 24 hours a day actually have a chance to buy items they need at a realistic price as oppossed to paying 100k+, which they cannot afford being a more casual player who actually has a job.
This monopoly that certain players have created in game does not serve Zenimax, and it doesn't serve the rest of the players online, it only serves the few who have monopolised the market. Trading is much better in other games, even games that now suck like DCUO, the auction house works.
One way it could be organised is still to have a guild trader somewhere, but its just an accesss point to the auction house... or just do away with them completely.

If you're trying to big a market, one key feature that we dont have access to is a place to advertise our guild traders. Some will say u got the forums, meh their okay. Others will say u got text chat, again u can get ban for spamming. But again almost every guild traders sell the exact same thing. The only difference is connivance, price and availability, I personally dont have a guild trader of choice. But I tend to shop near capital cities, a few different towns and a village (that has some on the best deals throughout tamriel). While all guilds try to make enough gold to get to the main hub, just to make more gold.
But if your Xbox na, mournhold market had some awesome deals. They always cheaper than reaper march. So if your in neck of woods, stop buy look and u might find a jewel in the mist of the dust.

FYI, we don't have the forums. I created a thread advertising my custom pieces in the crafting section, with the location of the guild kiosks, and the moderator locked it and said posting meet ups is against the rules.
So take away the largest, and really the only significant gold sink in the game? Sounds like a horrible idea.
Bryanonymous wrote: »They are the largest gold sink in the game. I'm not kidding when I say, some kiosks are being outbid at over 10 million gold. It might sound crazy, but the items they sell for the following week will rake in over 50 million, and most of the stuff was earned without investment so it's all profit. The customers of these kiosk are indirectly feeding the sink as well as the guilds themselves. Many of you don't realize how these sinks are fighting inflation by removing gold from the economy. If players have gold pile up and nothing to spend it on, they will pay outrageous sums for everyday items, and you won't be able to find them for a decent price.

Is that 50m for the guild or 50m gross over all players in the guild. Even if the guild is making 40m profit after a 10m for a week lease, really isn't that big of a gold sink. Though this probably PC, console might be more like 3-5m for a week lease. I don't even think adding play housing is going to help the gold sink on PC. Seems like your are *** out of luck.

Of course it's the guilds earnings. And while the profit might seem much higher, tell me where in the game you'll see a bigger sink? And these kiosk bids slowly increase with competition so that eventually guilds will be investing half their income just to sell. Also, a lot of the profits might just be resales of things that were bought for cheaper, so it's not necessarily 100% profit.
