Such as I want a shield motif..
Step 1: Click on wood working...
Step 2: Click motifs...
Step 3: Get every motif listed in the game.. even all those that are not even related to wood working....
Step 4: Waste time going through pages and pages of motifs on only to find they didn't have the one I wanted...
Step 5: Then go to another trader.. repeat Steps 1-5
Reaction... get annoyed and go play something else...
It makes no sense. Having a guild full of dead souls who haven't logged in in months in no way qualifies you for a trader. If you must measure it like this, measure the number of currently listed items.
So take away the largest, and really the only significant gold sink in the game? Sounds like a horrible idea.

The member count would be easier to code, gotta keep it simple for the devs. I understand what u saying, but it would be the guild leader responsibility. Also keep in mind all the idea listed on that kiosk would be all the guilds for instance maxed; you wouldn't be search through just one guild. More like 5-10 at a time.

Screw the popular guild trader owners, they turning guild traders into a monopoly; where they only profit. Everyone else is squander for scrap. Damn it I'm robin hood, where i care more about the little guys, then those gold grubbing rich jerks that only believe in themselves

If it's a difference between a good trade location and a bad trade location they would rather have 499 inactive members than 100 active ones. Clearing innactives they would just be sabotaging themselves.
The amount of members could be offset to only include members that have logged in within the last 7 days to be counted towards the trader location. Either way I would suggest the capitol cities be changed from max to 475-max to give guild leaders room for clearing innactives and recruiting.
And as far as it removing the gold sink... ZOS could just increase the "taxes" to the player, and decrease or zero amount the amount guilds get since there is no longer a bid. Effectively keeping the gold sink.

I agree the endless scrolling u do over and over makes my head hurt. I thought the year was 2016 not 1999. I want search can type in what I am looking or filter not that simple crap u call filter that we already use.

The real issue with traders, is large multi-millionaire guilds that can afford to start a 2nd roster and overbid a certain location until they get that guild more established.
Happen to me in bleakrock.

Guild ranks never worked, its just overrated hassle that I hope I never have to deal with

If it were a seasonal thing it would. Like the leader boards and guild ranks reset every 3 months. And they have to restart again. This would insure that only active guilds get these bonuses.

That's all that needs to be done, though it probably never will.

So no search option, really u like endless scrolling Thur items. Maybe u r just defending the rich owners.
All traders should be located in the major towns in each zone. Often wonder how much business those traders get that sit in some random area in each zone. Then you come across traders with next to nothing for sale, even though are located in a prime area. Got to be a better option.
