Making it so that we start with our ultimate is just annoying. Especially since both of my Ultimates require a target; making it impossible to waste ultimate before the fight. This gentleman's agreement isn't practical since in the majority of situations we can't even waste it if we wanted to.1 -

What happens in my ult's cost 200 + and i'm at like 70-120 do i light attack and wait for it to charge?
What about all these stam nb's who 'empty' ult, who then proceed to light attack you a few times while buffing, take a pot and then incap from the get go anyway and then claim they started with 0 ult.

Omgwtfbbq321✭✭✭I agree with all but the ultimate being dropped to 0. That just favours who has the lowest cost ult. It should be on a timer, maybe 30 seconds into the fight, it will say “Ultimates available!”.
At least this way, you won’t have to worry about Incap/Dawnbreaker basically off the bat.

Well yeah, thats the idea, higher cost ultimates tend to do more.
People would just start with 1k ultimate and overload the entire fight or instant go ww.
Or a dk could just use a high dmg build, pop alch and meteor + fossilize people and kill them instantly nearly every time.PS4 EU DC

Something else that needs to be adressed: potions !
Either forbid use of potions, or provide 1 to 3 standard potions available only during the duel.
Otherwise alchemists and money will win all the duels.
Food and Drink are more accessible.

Or you can stop being lazy, and level up your alchemy and provisioning like a lot of us did. Also I don't even need to use a potion in the majority of my fights so potion accessibility isn't game breaking.1 -

Only if we can make it so you can't heal until 15 seconds after the fight starts. After all, that's how long stamina users have to wait before they get their burst heal from Rally. Otherwise this will give a huge advantage to classes that have access to burst heals such as magicka Templars.0 -

However, I see where they are coming from with a hands off apporoach - I think by "gentleman's agreement", ZOS means "we're not overseeing betting and fielding a million tickets about false cheating accusations wanting refunds."Fear is the Mindkiller0 -

This is why Rich Lambert and Brian Wheeler said they arent putting limitations and options in dueling. There's way to much to deal with to implement any of these systems in game and it just opens up avenues for more things to go wrong.
