What's the dumbest thing you've done on ESO?

The dumbest thing I did in ESO, was to buy the game and pay for ESO plus membership. Oh and participate in these so called forums.

When I was new to the game I discovered fishing by accident, and it was a novelty for awhile. Ended up with these gold items that I assumed were junk like the trophy fish. Thus I sold three perfect roes to a merchant at a time when they were selling for 12k each, and I was too broke to afford a mount.

Made my first character (templar) a Redguard because I wanted to use a sword and shield, but ended up making her magic based. She stayed my main character though and is still my favorite, but I really should take advantage of the race change thing now that it's available.

And, like countless others it seems, I have accidentally dodge rolled into my death too many times to count.

Crafted a full set of yellow 160 gear then realized I forgot to put traits on it.

Tried to jump into the ocean and missed.

Was on top of a tower and saw a really nice sunset happening. Wanted a screenshot of it. My character is short so I was going to jump up on the wall and get the screenshot. Instead I hit the wrong key did a backwards roll off the edge to my death.

    Stood in red.

Didn't know I was standing in red because I was in first person view.

Wondered what was killing me while a crab killed me.

    Pick one.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

    What a time...

Well, when I tried bow for a first time, I was wondering where I can get arrows/quiver ^^

Haha, this one is too familiar :D Before the launch, i spent hours in crafting forums of Tamriel Foundry, trying to figure out how expensive bow will be with all the arrows it uses :D Even created a couple topics with that question if i remember right :p

Also, i was trying to figure out what was the most optimized profession for a sneaky bosmer nightblade - i figured it was Alchemy, since i'd need a lot of Invisibility pots ( you can tell i played Skyrim too much) :D

Skye Cloude - Sorc DPS, Master Crafter. Main, the bestest
Lae Lenne - Templar Healer Trial grade.
Dromede - Stamina Nightblade, she's a newb and doesn't know what she's doing
V'oghatta - Stamplar pretending to be a tank
Ulville Thonvella - aspiring Fire Mage, be careful around her fire sticks!
Dromedaris - lost and not found. Named after a shoe, what else can you expect from her? A proper tank in her wildest dreams
Swims-Naked - too pretty to grind, too silly to quest.
Sun Flair - Dunmer Templar that can't spell for life. To bad she's too broke to afford a name change... Well, at least she's pretty...

1 - Made a purple level 1 hundings chest and didn't realize it until I tried to enchant it.

2 - 50k telvar into a Vicecannon set only to realize how limiting a crouch proc is when you're getting jabby-jabbed by jabby Mcjaberson the jabby templar.

It took me weeks to figure out what a whisper meant. I'd get those blue lines in my chat and reply to the person in zone, making some people very confused, I bet!

Oh and my first days of Cyrodiil... I used to siege resource towers down thinking we had to do it to take a resource (and I wasn't alone in thinking that!), and I used to think people from my own alliance couldn't see me if I sneaked. Then I found out they could see me and thought enemies could too so I stopped sneaking altogether because it was so useless.

I used Sword and Shield on both bars because a different second weapon was far too weird at first, but eventually I settled for Sword and Shield + Bow, using swallow soul and poison injection as my main damage skills in PvP. Needless to say, I didn't kill many enemies... :D

I once stood next to a mounted ebonheart player who must of been away from their game. His group who approached us soon after must of thought I was a friend of his and didn't attack me. They just stood around doing emote. All was good until the horse mounted man started moving again and looked at me. I was killed a moment later. :)

Pretty dumb but funny thing to do. It leaves everyone confused. XD

I do this to afk players at bleakers. It usually ends up with a bunch of confused players doing emotes

Sometimes I decide it's better to save my Imperial Retreat Sigils while in Imperial City ... and instead make it back to the DC base solo with a load of Tel Var on my character.
