I think they are called Malubeth and Reactive, there's a new one coming where you get health back when cc'd, that added to Malubeth and Reactive will be comedy antigank

The first one is quite an easy workaround for halfway decent gankers. Also good call adding in another velidreth type set. Just what we need to make cyrodiil a happy and well-balanced place.

The second is a fantastic way to give magnbs a much needed nerf. They just are so darn OP.

For the third let's just make it full immunity to damage.

With the amount of QQ on other threads to nerf damage mitigation (heavy armor specifically), I would imagine that if this suggestion were to go ahead, gankers would band together against this idea and cause a massive uproar on the forums.

Damage and penetration is out of control as it is and will only get worse in the next update. Let's hope the developers introduce / bring back mechanics that would improve gameplay for everyone. Softcaps is a possible alternative IMO.

Not gank protection, but something similar.

    5 piece set:

5th piece - All beams are reflected back at the caster with 20% bonus damage.

Lol that 2pc would make it easier. Equip it, go in for the gank, and if it fails turn your back on the target.

    2pc 990 health
3pc increase your detection radius by 10m
4pc stealthed attacks won't stun you
5pc mitigate 20% of the damage you receive from stealthed attackers

This is an anti ganking set and only a anti ganking set. Everything I added increases your chance to survive a ganker.
As a nightblade every 1k health more sucks, not starting the fight out of stealth decreases your burst potential enormously, the stun from stealth Attacks is a huge part why people die to gankers and the last bonus is obvious 20% less damage increases your chance to survive the first burst ---> you can heal and fight back

Sentry and Way of Air. You'll even be able to combine them next patch. Not really the mechanics the OP was thinking about but certainly has worked for me. Not so much anti-gank I suppose as general purpose anti-stealth useful for any organized group.

I would love to wear this, @Vaoh

Especially given your tip that Shatter Soul scales off health. I've had some extremely fun times with zergballs in that getup.

Gah, those sets would be too powerful :P Why not just slot radiant magelight? That's pretty much one ability that negates a lot of stealther damage.

As it stands, stealth attacks really aren't much more powerful than a regular attack. I wish that were different, I really want to be more of a stealth character than anything else.

More than new sets, I think it would be cool if there was an option to specialize in a certain play style, even more than we already do. As it is now, the only consequence of a certain play style versus another is that you miss out on having certain abilities slotted, or armor set bonuses, which isn't enough to matter. Champion points are too global, too. We always have one build that's the best for each class in pve and pvp.

It'd be cool if they expanded certain skill lines to have passives that affected your character globally in a positive AND a negative way so you can take your build to an extreme.

Like for instance, say I want my char to really focus on being an 'assassin', in the dark brotherhood skill line I could add points to decrease my stealth detection radius, and damage out of stealth, and evasion, BUT to also decrease my physical & spell resistances, as well as reduce my healing received. Basically, trade defense for offense when using stealth.

Or, maybe if I wanted to be more like a 'paladin', in some skill line I could add points to increase my resistances to physical damage, crit strikes, elemental damage, reduce blocking costs, and increase my healing received.

As a 'spell sword', points added increase weapon enchantment potency, dual wield damage, and attack speed, but reduces defenses, evasion chance, and healing received.

Something like that, just to make it a little easier to create more kinds of playstyles.

Bad idea, you can prevent getting ganked by buffing yourself up e.g. shuffle, shields, hardened armor etc.
A good ganker will wait till your buffs are gone, so always buff yourself up at alltimes even if you think your safe.
Wear impen, it helps alot and always keep an eye on your horse stamina. If you get ganked, it's you fault.

If they make sets like these, it would ruin the stealthy playstyle.

Recently I've been the anti-ganker in a different sense.

I keep running into enemy alliance characters whose players are afk, not in stealth, AND mounted (the last is an especially bad idea) so I /w them and remind them they can just crouch when they go make the pee pee and stand around until they come back, and chat, ask em how their day is going and if they'd like a cup of tea. If they say they're not RPers I say, no, I don't mean in-game. Look out your window. I'm that guy across the street, watching you.

Hahahahaha reminded me of this old thread I stumbled upon today.

    I just quote from there
    [...]
I would say all Magicka builds will use the Radiant Magelight morph due to its passives for just being slotted (and likely many stam builds for empower and gank protection):

    1) Give 10% spell crit just for being slotted
    2) Gives 56% damage reduction from stealth attacks for being slotted
3)Adds 2% Max Mag and Mag Regen for being slotted
4)Gives 12 meters of Stealth Detection when activated
    5)Grants Empower when activated

So the fact there are literally no limits to DPS isn't enough for people? They want a NERF to what LITTLE DEFENSE WE HAVE against the race for DPS? Seriously if they nerf damage mitigation you may as well rename this game Elder Scroll Online: Ganking Unlimited.

Did you try reactive set with radiant magelight?

Step 1: Watch NB do his thing and fail no stun...laugh.
Step 2: Watch NB do his fear and fail damage reduction...laugh.
Step 3: Kill squishy NB with your preferred class / weapon skills.

Special Step: Have 7 piece heavy and shield for added frustrating on wannabe ganker.
