I hear that a lot (not only in games), but from that point of view, anything not related to medical businesses wouldn't need a 24h service. Which is wrong when you enter a market where 24h availability is common, not unusual.
Try to not see that as a game, but as a generic product you pay for (and which is professional enough to request 3 EULAs to be signed). Since it's a service available all over the globe, you have to have some sort of 24h fallback service arrangements (IMHO, that is). I'm not talking about a 10 minute reaction SLA here, I'm talking about a general lack of communication. I'm sorry, but this (again, sorry, Kai) is not what I am expecting from a company as Zenimax.
Well, it IS a gamewhy would I not see it as such.. It's a luxury, not a necessity
And for another point, not much here has 24H service hehe.. Not markets, not stores
Where I live, people communicate with the companies in their open hours.. IF the company have chosen to provide a 24H service it's cool, but it's not the norm

many markets are open 24h a day. and a mmo needs 24h support stal and tec staff

Kai, it's been 5 hours since the problem was apparent (going by the start of forum posts). Can you share what the outcome of the 5 hours of investigation has revealed please?
What is the presumed/known cause, what are the steps being taken to resolve and what is the projected timeframe for a return to full available status?
Many thanks
Still working on it. From what I understand our team has identified the issue and are working to fix it.
No ETA*, though ... sorry.

Maybe in your country, but not here, which probably explains why we expect different things

Not "country" but "online" - i.e. global. Many online entities are available 24/7 - even over local holidays.
Don't be so parochial, Denmark is a small country, the online community is global

He mentioned stores as a direct example, to which I answered.. Had nothing to do with onlinepay attention

Oh wowwell you said you were a relic, I would say that about me too, but that is ... a very ancient view
I understand it from your point of view, but we're comparing apple to pears here. There is no offline equivalent to an MMORPG, which is why only that market segment is relevant and applicable here. You can't come along telling real-world stories about supermarkets in that context
Daemons_Bane wrote: »If most people here on the forums are used to 24H service, I can understand why you would expect it from a game too.. The core of the discussion, I think, is whether we see it as neccessary or notHope that made some sense

Getting a combination of Patch Manifest errors, nothing happening when starting the launcher and error 200 at login when bypassing launcher...

I tried repairing, but unsurprisingly it had zero effect.

No one ever promised it would
Their forum employees don't work on the server's, so even if they informed their costumers it would not delay a fix, it would only be respectful. I pay for their bread, so I deserve information when my product is broken. The difference there is that the train is expected at given time. when I doesn't turn up you can clearly see theres an issue as there 300 people stood on a platform.
If theres a PSN or server error, ZOS may not even be aware for 30 mins, let alone rush to the forum to tell everyone and then fix it.
Also don't forget that the huge majority do not use this forum.
I'd prefer they spent resoucres fixing any issue

You pay to rent a space in their game.. You don't even own your characters.. You signed off your rights with the EULA.. The "cancel your sub" campaign is stupid as hell too.. Do you REALLY think that it would have a positive effect if the company made less money to buy equipment/staff?
