Not sure if ZoS is happy me telling this out here but i recently (2-3 weeks ago) got one day of eso+ added to my sub after several tickets to support where i complained about long downtimes and stuff.
Well they can ofc choose to do soand doing so will make people happy, which is a smart move.. But I think it's important to remember that we are not entitled to it

The EULA indeed says that we are not entitled to it,
but keeping players satisfied and get them to acknowledge this on media like forums is a good promotion to get the atention of people that are doubting to buy the game, people that never owned it.
I got that extra day of eso+ shortly after i made this poll,
dont think that i got the extra sub day because of it but its a weird coincedence tho.

Let me rephrase the OP, in case someone views his words as too extreme:
I pay for a product. As for me, even as a subscription service. I may or may not like what the product actually is like (as opposed to what I thought it was, or what was promised), it doesn't matter. It may not work all the time (maintenance and other downtimes), it doesn't matter. After all, I don't have to use it (or pay for it) if I don't like it, or it is not up to par with current technology.
But: It's absolutely unacceptable for me when I have the feeling of not being taken seriously as a customer. This is slowly getting the case here. This is not a mom and pop store - it's a multi million company in a multi billion industry. I can expect that a company like that is not relying on customers to tell them that their product is unavailable. I can expect that when they eventually do, which was the case over four (!) hours ago, that some representive is telling me that they are aware of the problem, NOT two hours after that by someone who is probably not even responsible for doing so (thanks, Kai, anyway!). If this is not the case, at least for me it's obvious that me as a customer is not taken seriously, or not valued. And that, dear Zenimax, is extremely bad practice.
I'm not raging btw. I wouldn't even have written something if there were not some people on here who are obviously too ignorant to understand why people are upset.
I'm not blaming anyone for strange decisions regarding the future of the game (BoP, e.g.). I'm not blaming anyone for DDOS attacks, faulty hardware, bad pings, major outages, non-available monitoring, whatever (I could do so however, because professionals ... ah well). I'm not even blaming them for the ridiculous maintenance times. But I'm really blaming them for their total lack of professional, honest, timely communication which really is not too hard a thing to do.

Kai, it's been 5 hours since the problem was apparent (going by the start of forum posts). Can you share what the outcome of the 5 hours of investigation has revealed please?
What is the presumed/known cause, what are the steps being taken to resolve and what is the projected timeframe for a return to full available status?
Many thanks

Still working on it. From what I understand our team has identified the issue and are working to fix it.
No ETA*, though ... sorry.

A troll is simply someone who tries to de-rail a conversation in an inflammatory manner. You aren't a troll. You just have a different perspective than all of these perpetually outraged forum posters , so they label you a troll, because they can't think of anything else.

Talking about labelling people.

Perhaps some of them just can't think of why else someone would waste time and effort telling them again and again that they have no right to critizise something which is clearly not working.

Well I think we can settle on that, though of course you make a very subjective implication here
This is not a 5 person business, you knowat least I hope that. I guess shift work is not unheard of in the US.

I hear that a lot (not only in games), but from that point of view, anything not related to medical businesses wouldn't need a 24h service. Which is wrong when you enter a market where 24h availability is common, not unusual.
Try to not see that as a game, but as a generic product you pay for (and which is professional enough to request 3 EULAs to be signed). Since it's a service available all over the globe, you have to have some sort of 24h fallback service arrangements (IMHO, that is). I'm not talking about a 10 minute reaction SLA here, I'm talking about a general lack of communication. I'm sorry, but this (again, sorry, Kai) is not what I am expecting from a company as Zenimax.
