Simply put, do they stack? I was told they don't but I personally don't see a reason why they wouldn't.

They do stack.
But they do NOT stack additive
(additive would give you 8%+8%=16%)
they do stack multiplicative,
which results in 15.36%
Calculation:
To get to the total effect, you must first convert the 8% damage mitigation into (100%-8%)=92% remaining damage.
Defensive Posture and Footman have each a value of 8% damage mitigation.
The total remaining damage becomes (multiplicative): 92%*92%=84.64%
The total damage mitigation of just these two effects is then: 100%-84.64%=15.36%

Thank you. I'm looking at how low I can get block cost. Right now I'm sitting in the mid 300's. and i still have room to improve. I'm not sure if I'm going to use the foorman's stuff but i might if its comes in sturdy. ill look into it and see if i can make it work on my tank.Edited by Ltc4 on September 4, 2016 10:51PM0
