Unless the item is covered in super glue, there is no reason why I shouldn't be able to trade it or something after I stick it in my inventory.

With the add-on that tells people what you loot i prefer a bind on pickup so this add-on doesn't make a difference if i loot something nice.

Not trying to sound cynical or anything here, just honestly curious why it matters if other people can see what loot you got, I heard people make a little fuss over it maybe around a month ago. If someone wants what you got and is being pushy then just say no and/or put them on ignore if necessary. Unless I'm missing something else here.

I like bind on equip myself . As a buyer of gracious dungeon adventurers rewards , this just fits my solo play style . I adventure alone and mostly PvP alone . I like to have options to purchase these things and gladly share gold or trade materials and barter for . There are not solo options for my play style in most dungeons .

IMO, trials need some BoE gear. With this new gear in group swapping everybody is going to have every BoP thing they need after 3-5 completions of any trial. BoE gear is the reason to keep doing it.

Dungeons still need to drop some BoE gear. Some BoP gear is okay, and can give you a sense of achievement, but please, don't make every dungeon drop BoP.

the majority of people (on xbox at least) are obsessed with money!
in fact i hate how people try to control the cost of basic & essential supplies/gear in this game.
because they are all obsessed with having loads of money in the bank, money they spend on buing things cheap inflating the price & reselling it, so that they can have even more money to buy things cheap, inflate the price & re sell it! the cycle is endless, its boring, and if BoP puts a cog in the wheel, all the better!

For VDSA and VMA I'm all for BoP, although I think a token sytem should be added.

However, all other sets I'd like to be BoE. Trails sets, monster shoulders, helms etc.

Let's say I am after a divines medium kena it could potentially take 100s of keys to get the shoulder.

BoE would help people with less time, some may play 1-2 hour a day and may only want to pvp not waste their time pugging a pledge to get worthless drops.

The naysayers will say "but but pledges are easy, do 12 pledges a day on 12 maxed characters" that u don't have :/

Downside with BoE sets is that the gold sellers would have more gold and control but at least you can farm gold to buy these items.

Imagine Gold Vicious Ophidian jewellery, 500k + maybe, or Veledrith (spelling) medium divines shoulder/head.

Bind on Equip should be the standard for most set items in the game. Specific goal rewarded items should be bind on pickup including Maelstrom weapons, Master weapons, monster helm/shoulder sets and certain trial specific gear. Making all the dungeon drop gear bind on pickup is a mistake in my opinion. Trinimac/Briarheart/Pariah never should have been bind on pickup and I'm hoping they have finally fixed that massive blunder with the new update.

Option 1 and Option 3 are not mutually exclusive. =S I went with option 3 - nothing should be bound at all. I think it creates solidarity with other players, something vital in an MMO. I think there can be other ways people can feel a sense of achievement, without affecting higher level players ability to help out lower level players with gearing up and having competitive builds (maelstrom weapons, yes, I'm looking at you).

I'd love for achievements to be tied to vanity costumes, not equipment.

While I understand that ZOS wants people to do the content in order to get the gear, I hate BOP. It hurts to have to recycle or vendor purple items and jewelry because of the bind, especially when I know that people are looking for that item.

Honestly, too many sets are bind on Pick up now. I can maybe see some use in having some sets be BoP, but not all of them. This is one of the faults in ZOS's design philosophy I see from time to time when they simplify. They have this obsessive compulsion towards symmetry.

Most recently this can be seen in the changes to the CP system. Given the cap in place, some classes or builds had to invest in stars in multiple constellations to boost different damage types. So they simplified, made one side magicka, and the other stamina. But this also meant they separated damage types, magic and elemental on one side, physical, disease and poison of the other. So now stamina moves could no longer cause elemental damage, fire morphs became poison. One guild was magic, so the other need to be 100% physical, and so on.

Right now they've split up all the sets among the zones, dungeons, and trials, one light, one medium, and one heavy each. Make these bosses drop these slot pieces only, and these bosses will only drop the other ones. Zones will be 100% BoE, and dungeons and trials 100% BoP. And so there is enough to go around, they swapped a number of sets, plus added a bunch as filler and even renamed a few to cram them under a given location's theme.

I want things a little messier. I want a physical fire damage type. And I want some sets that drop multiple locations, some sets only in a certain area, and a mix of BoE and BoP in trials.

Look, at the very least how about this? New sets are BoP when they come out. When the next (DLC) update hits, the old BoP, excluding things like master weapons or monster sets, unlock to BoE. I know it's also your philosophy to not have players be able to just buy the best gear, so maybe a three month buffer would work as a compromise.

So your decision is based off of the greed of others you may never meet or deal with? That cog in the wheel screws up other players who just want the pieces of a set with the right traits. I know people running the 2 new dungeons looking for pieces and even with the trade ability they are left empty handed.

I've ran RoM countless times and the drop rates for shields are abysmal to say the least.

With all that said I'm a firm believer in BoE.

I don't want everything to be BoE though. Items like MSA / DSA weapons and some trial sets should remain BoP.

However as I have detailed here with Update 12 more than 50% of the drop sets will be BoP. In Update 11 it is more like 30% BoP. I don't think it is a good idea to change this and I see no positive effect on the game.

Honestly it really doesn't matter much to me, just forcing players to run all types of content to get gear. Just like all other mmo, this will affect the market alot. Since crafting gear isn't that good. So the market will just be motifs, mats and craftable items.

I haven't done any pve content in this game yet, dungeos r boring and trails dont interest me, farming is okay and pvp is good some days. I make gold and have brought all my gear, so now what do I do. Guess I have to choice leave or run content, not to many options for players.

I dont know why should items be BoP. It hurts people selling them, hurts people buying and hurts people not skilled enough to get them.

Not everytime i can get friends to play group content, how am I then able to get items that I want but are BoP? I cant farm them. I have gold to buy them. What should I do with gold then? The only gold sink for me will be horse upgrade and armour repair.

Why not have the option to train your horse more once a day. 250 for a level, 25k for 5 levels, 100k for 10 levels, 250k for 15 levels, 500k for 20 levels.
