2H or DW?

Hi.

Ive got 32lvl stamina NB and so far ive played with DW and bow. Sometimes I have problems with staying alive. So my guestion is:

Which would be better for survivability, 2h or dw? Atm I dont use any dw skills. Would be nice to hear pros and cons.

Two-Handed / Bow would probably be more survivable. Use Rally and Brawler from the Two-Handed skills.

2H has a skill that passively heals you (Momentum), so that skill line is better in terms of survivability than DW.

Steel tornado and blood craze are good skills to use, steel tornado is the best stamina aoe and blood craze is a nice dot that heals you.

2H is much better for survivability it has some amazing skills. I like DW too but constantly find myself switching to 2H just because I like swinging around a huge sword and being tougher. DW does put out more damage though

I recently switched from the standard DW/Bow NB Build to this build with 2H/Bow:

I found that it makes things significantly more survivable. Brawler gives you a decent shield especially when you are fighting multiple mobs as well as an AOE dot. Surprise Attack does decent damage but also procs Shadow Barrier. Rally is a great buff and the heal will keep you up through most fights without much fuss.

On the Bow bar I may swap out Draining Shot since I don't really need the heal anymore. Also not sure if Ambush is worth it, but it's nice to have on occasion.

For Low level PvE, use DW/2H instead of DW/Bow.

What do you mean you don't use any dw skills atm? How can you say you play dw and bow if you don't use any dw skills?

Yeah I unfortunately didn't switch to 2H until well after lvl 50, so it did take some time to get up to 2H lvl 38 for Rally. I think it's worth the grind though as the only real alternative for a Stamina heal is Vigor from the PVP skill line and I found that to be much worse of a grind.

I find 2h just boring 1-2-3 rinse repeat.Oh, lets switch it up for execute 4-4-4. Yawn - wake me up when the boss is dead.

I don't really use many DW skills, but I also love that extra weapon "armor" set piece because I can build something unique.

In PvE I do way more damage with DW/Bow than 2H/bow. I use DW is mobs and stack and burn and bow for 1-shot kill bosses.

In Pvp the rally - crit rush - uppercut - ult - reverse, reverse, reverse is predictable and so it's easier to counter.

So it's not really a decision between 2-h and DW - its a decision about what other skills / strategies you want to build around them.
