Yep, they totally are. But as we are customers who pay for a product and service from ZOS there's absolutely nothing wrong nor "entitled" in voicing our displeasure when we feel we are not getting our money's worth. Lest anyone forget, this game isn't free and we are talking about paid services and items over and above the cost of the game itself.

Please take a look here at my post on this August Showcase article to see all the things we're still missing just in costumes.

So crowns are now on sale and of course I am mightily tempted. But right now part of me really feels that buying them at all is just rewarding ZOS for bad behavior and poor customer service. After all, if I buy crowns I'm LITERALLY giving them money for doing absolutely nothing for me as a customer. They will feel absolutely no need to honor my request and the requests of others to make available the things we actually wish to purchase with those crowns. After all, they already have our money, the crowns are purchased, why do they care if I never use them? Unless of course they would like for me to buy more crowns one of these days. I'd really like a response to this thread before I give ZOS any more money at this point.

I intended to spent 200€ on ZOS this month - well I got me 25k crowns for the first 100€ - then I discovered, that there is actually nothing to buy for me on the crown store anymore, and what I want is coming up end of the months. Meanwhile there is nothing - ok, so steam made the business with me, they at least have something to buy for me what I can enjoy.

I want all but one of those you listed in that thread - so to not put these things on crown store is a loss for ZOS.

And yet no response to the question. :( I am indeed beginning to think they have made everything they are ever going to in costumes.

So my supposition is now that all the best costumes are going to only be available in the gambling RNG boxes. I would love to be told by an official source that I am wrong.

It's possible that they hired the folks to create those cosmetic items on a 6-month (or whatever) contract, with the plan being that they would spend that time creating enough things to keep putting new items in the crown store for a year (or whatever).

Or, on a similar note, the people creating those cosmetic items could have been working on all of them in advance with the intention being that they would complete enough items to last for a significant amount of time, allowing those people to now be redeployed to create assets that will be used by a future DLC that wasn't yet sufficiently developed for them to start working on those assets earlier.

Those are just wild guesses though.

So, as I feared, the NEW hairstyles are going to be released one at a time, which means it's going to be well over a year before they are all made available. And that means they won't be bothering to make any of the hairstyles we've actually asked for. I REALLY do not understand this at all. I'd REALLY still like an explanation for this marketing decision and release schedule. It makes no sense to me because it basically means I will not be buying any crowns over and above my sub, which I would have gladly done otherwise.

This strategy justifies itself, it is pretty clear and I just don't see the odds of them coming here to plainly put "it is just business dear" because essentially it is, the urgency in marketing creates an immediatism that often ignores elaborated analysis(as with the many well-founded arguments and complaints from threads started by you) and instead bets on future "fixes" and/or revamps that seem fruitless at this moment after several months of silence and the ever expected "we got the message".

I have since the release been quite unsatisfied with the overall direction the game took with the exception of a few honorable mentions(being 1st person mode, One Tamriel and the revamp of the random named loot others). The passion really ended once the huge amount of MMO f2p clichès started, I almost felt like playing another game I used to and stopped due to this exactly strategy.

Considering the huge amount of money the game got from the beginning and the apparent success of the f2p + micro and macrotransactions model, there's hardly a fair fight in this issue without feeling blatantly ignored most of the time and ending up with a huge amount of something I didn't ask for to balance with what I initially expected and got very little.

What doesn't make sense to me is that if they would just make available all the things they actually have already finished, costumes, pets, adornments, hairstyles... we would buy them. And those of us who sub would buy above and beyond our sub's crown allotment. Then they could afford to have artists make still MORE things... which we would also buy. Monthly crown allotment is 1,500 crowns. I'd gladly buy 2,000 crowns every month on top of that if there were actually things in the store I wanted to buy. This is why this release schedule makes no sense to me.

While the limited time offers (encourage quick sales) and removal of items that have been in the store for awhile (store would get to crowded) makes sense, I can only guess we do not see some items because of low interest in those items on PTS.

I've been wondering the same thing lately, and I have some ideas. I think that what they show in the PTS is content that will be released throughout the period of that DLC. If they released them all at the beginning then people might feel like there's nothing new over the couple of months. So they're essentially spreading out what they've created for that term.

It's also probably a business decision made with the people that create the DLC items. They probably create the bundle in time for the DLC release, and what they are making now is for future DLCs.

The crown store also only has so much room. I wonder if this is accommodating for console players. Maybe PC could handle more items in the crown store, but it would be uncool if they had more options than us.
