I think teabagging is hilarious! Both when I dish it out and when I receive it. In PVP I really don't need a reason to teabag someone. I know the best way to get a reaction is to teabag somebody that you had nothing to do with killing. I had one guy go off on me for a good 20 minutes telling me how I was the "worst PVPer in the game", asking me "do you know who I am bro?", and telling me how he would "kill me over and over again". I actually saved video of the entire event because he just couldn't stop messaging me in rage mode lol.

I think it is also fun to teabag one of your guildies when they die in your pve dungeon/trial group. Gotta teabag before you rez them. That'll teach em! lol

One of my favorite emotes to use when killing someone in PVP is /heartbroken.

@Kildayen I just laughed so hard.

    Hello everyone,

Recently we've edited a few posts for some back and forth, please keep in mind that baiting and flaming is against the Forum Rules. For continuation of this discussion, please be sure to stay civil with one another and constructive to the topic to prevent derailment of the thread.

    Thank you for understanding.

There is nothing I can say about teabagging here that would reflect my opinion and not get me banned from this forum.

It is a shame that ZOS even allows it to be discussed on this forum. You should close the topic and remind everyone that teabagging is against the TOS, is a bannable offence, and in all cases a lack of respect and of self-respect.

That being said, since teabagging obviously exists in this game, I choose to simply completely ignore it. What else could I do ?

But in answer to OP : there is no acceptable situation nor place for teabagging. NONE. EVER.

The 10 Primary Scenarios in Which Teabagging is Mandated

    1. Qaevir must always be greeted, whether friend or foe, with goblin humps, no exceptions. The same is true for Monty.
    2. For that matter anyone whom I hold in high regard is generally treated the same, either goblin humping leg or bash grunts, either works.
    3. Forum trashtalkers are mercilessly teabagged until they either ragetell or release, no exceptions, especially when they were gloriously Xv1'ed on their stream, the rage is truly delicious.
    4. Any member of DR or GoS that falls in battle shall be teabagged by their own groupmates as a reminder to stop dying.
    5. Anyone who sends a ragetell and is appear offline or ignoring becomes instant teabag fodder, no exceptions.
    6. Losing a 1v1 after guaranteeing you would best me is instant teabag with no rematch. Especially when it was all about proving YOUR worth.
    7. Any enemy emperor upon dethrone, before that its just lazy.
    8. Any allied emperor upon being throned.
    9. Anyone who complains about it, it shall be done twice as often to.
    10. Probably you.

    Techniques:

    1. The slow sensual teabag shall be used in all ERP scenarios, especially those involving Qaevir or Lily
    2. The rapidspazz teabag shall be used midfight upon a worthy opponent who clearly did something uncharacteristically stupid as notice that I saw that. (a certain recent templar emperor that javelined himself right off the bridge on my DK wings comes to mind)
    3. The slow deep and hard shall be reserved for streamers.
    4. The jumpybag is for final victories only.
    5. The 'footbag" is reserved for high lag situations, to me its your face, trust me.

    Special mention:

In PvE content, at least one member of the group must honor the "Benom Rule" in which bosses get teabagged after every stage, in honor of our lost comrade Benom, who left the game long ago.

First let me qualify the discussion by saying this is my first mmo and my first exposure to teabagging (nice historical wrap in this article: http://theballreport.com/the-history-of-teabagging-in-video-games/). After seeing it once or twice it didn’t take me long to realize that the practice irked me on a couple of different levels.

From my perspective - I think how you treat your opponents states more about you than your opponent; plus, there’s like a million emotes for letting someone know how you feel (standing over someone who tries to gank you and laughing over their body seems pretty effective for getting the point across) – so, I look at teabagging as being kinda too lazy and dumb and come up with something else.

Fortunately despite my advanced age (50ish) :) - I can still appreciate that I may not always be right (for some reason my 70ish mom and teenageish god daughter both share the unflappable belief that what they think they know is absolutely correct – so, I’m thinking it’s an age thing shared by both young and old – and, it’s only during the middleish phase of life that you realize you don’t really know everything).

So, I’m wondering – is there a place for teabagging? Is it really not that big of a deal? Are there certain scenario’s where teabagging is acceptable? Is it simply an effective way to taunt and throw off your opponent? Are there any special tips and techniques for teabagging?

I know it’s a little weird – but, I’m definitely interested to hear this community's feedback on the subject…plus – do you have any favorite emotes for sharing your displeasure with others both friend and foe?

Welcome to MMOs! I'm a little younger than, but got into MMOs over 15 years ago...I've been the victim of and the giver of teabags many times. The first time I saw it too, all I could say was "kids..."...but hey, when in Rome...

All things being equal, it's a just a game. There are going to be many parts that you don't get...or you don't agree with...or that make you go "wow, that was awesome!". Just enjoy the game for what it is...a game, and don't dwell on the little stuff. You're here to have fun, right?

Saw some quality tea-bagging last night around a duel.
Some guys were duelling at one of the milegates, DC v AD, and a few of us were watching out of being fed up encountering the red zerg.

Next thing a DC raid group came over the hill and attempted to annihilate all the AD guys, leading to half of them getting killed.
The guy from DC who had been duelling then took part in some teabaggery on one of the prone DC dead.

I had a wee chuckle at the whole thing, as noone was really in the wrong.

I only, sometime tea-bag when I get ganked and the ganker failed miserably.
(BONUS: Extra duration t-bag if they are 2+)

Or after killing a known tea-bagger, "sore loser" or "sore winner"
But in all honesty, I'm annoyed with those immatures....

The worst tea-baggers are probably the ones that tea-bag you in group.
Like you will get nuke by 6 players on you.. and 1 or 2 of them will tea-bag you.

But even worst than any simple tea-baggers are the sore winners.

You know the type that will send you a private message after they killed you, telling you how much better they are at this game than you. Important to note, these "sore winners" are most often also "sore losers" and tea-baggers"

I'm starting to have a decent list in my head of people of that type. If I ever join a guild and they are well implemented in it, I probably will simply leave. I have no intention to be associate with those f@#%.

#2 is pretty much my code.

On a side note, I take great pride in getting the bags. When 5 people are dead, and a whole group runs over to just tea bag me, it's a badge of honor.

Yeah that is a badge of honor under normal cases, if you are not one of those players using completely broken sets to let the procs One shot players. If you are one of these players then you should be completely ashamed of yourself and stick your head in the sand. You are not a PvPer and is a disgrace to all of the 1vXing PvPers that don't use gear procs to kill players then brag about as if you did something good. You ain't do anything but let a set win for you scrublord.

If you are a 1vXer who don't use said sad game destroying tactics, then yes getting tea bagged after demolishing a group of players is a badge of honor.

There is a huge difference from being a good 1vXer and being a scrublord who don't PvP, and let set procs kill other players.

I would only ask for ONE THING, JUST ONE THING to make t-bagging perfectly acceptable.

One of the greatest bursts of joy I get in this game, if not the greatest, is to kill a t-bagger mid t-bag. It's so funny I make my group stop while I go do it.

But there is ONE THING MISSING. The waste of space t-baggers will release before you can rez the person they killed so that person can t-bag them. So THE ONE THING I am asking for is if someone is killed within 10sec of t-bagging, delay their release by 15sec. Plenty of time for a rez and a healthy dose of humiliation.

Or a healthy dose of love. I don't know who is raising kids these days....

I don't Tea Bag, I don't care that people tea bag me its kind of funny and more funny when the die while tea bagging me. When I take someone out, I go back to stealth and move to a new location and wait. It amazes me so many people will run back to the same spot they just died (guilty of doing this myself) , or their buddy will coming running up to revive them. If your standing over their friend with your hang down bobbing in out of there mouth you make yourself an easy target.

Its actually fun to tea bag ur enemy while he is being rezzed, then make him chase you and end up dying agajn, before being tea bagged a 2nd time. Oh yeah its so satisfying

There are definitely time were it is fun for everyone, even the teabagee. About a year ago a group I was in was trying to take Drake(?) and a Red player followed us all the way from Sej to Drake, killing people along the way while avoiding being killed themselves.

He was pretty annoying but obviously not a true threat against 15 people. He probably killed 10 people 1 by 1 by the time he got tracked down and killed himself.

The sight of seeing 14 people (not me though, like I said I have never teabagged anyone in any game) all teabagging the same person was pretty hilarious, and I like to think the killer got a kick out of it too. He got a pretty large amount of AP after all, and succeeded in killing many players before his ultimate demise.

personally it bothers me less - and that's a good thing for me o:)

there are emotes for spitting and vomiting on folks - that's some pretty foul behavior too...

rngeezus...who'd have ever thunk it - I'm holding up the banner for teabaggers everywhere...cuz you know what - they are people too (a little loud and creepy, but oh well >:) )

More power to ya for it not bothering ya but for those it DOES bother it goes unpunished and thus people keep doing it and trying to justify it.

You know, all of you admitting you teabag and doing so without remorse are part of the problem with PvP being so toxic... I don't care WHY you do it, it is unsportsmanlike and immature and never EVER justified. In fact, it just proves what a sore loser you can be.

U got the whole tea bagging other way round. The winner tea bags the loser.

    Wrong. Winners don't teabag.

Ur crazy, winners are the only one who can tea bag. U cant get up from ur grave and tea bag the guy who just killed u!!!

You misunderstand the meaning of "winning". If you show poor sportsmanship, you lose, period. Why do you lose? Because you lose honorable reputation, you lose potential friends and/or dueling partners, and most of all you lose the game. Killing someone is a trifle compared to a true and honorable victory. So in short:

Winner = Victorious, proud, and deserving of the victory.
Loser = Defeated, be it morally or literally.
