Tips and Techniques for Proper Teabagging

Thank you Xbox and Bungie for contribution to society. Ha ha ha. LOL. I was part of the original Halo 1 & 2 multiplayer teabagging fiesta. The art of smack talking is almost dead. Now everyone is so PC, offended and butt hurt.

Generally, teabagging is just blatant disrespect. Disrespect for someone playing a game with you. It's just bad sportsmanship in the competitive scene.

I guess it's easy to treat people like trash when you don't have social obligations hanging over your anonymous head.

My favorite emote to use, on the other hand, is a little /shh before I fade back into sneak. I was never here. Just smarmy enough to be funny, without being rude.

You know, you can have fun with someone, or you can have fun at their expense.

    I prefer the former.

I taco dip, to express my disrespect for someone's behavior or playstyle.

Sometimes I also just jump on the corpse. I'm not proud of it, but sometimes it just has to be, so that this person may start playing fair and adjust his playstyle.

I'm not being fond of taco touchdowns either . I will Rez quickly before touchdown is accomplished .

But in IC, Zenimax has added a Tbag cooldown. There is a rotating 10s timer before you can release, so that people can tbag you. That's why they added that

ZOS why would you do this ? How can this one soul escape nasty Billy Bob TBaggins an Tammy Taco if I cannot rezzing quickly ?

In games like Destiny and Halo you have to worry about it providing your enemy with extra motivation. We've had many games where we were whuppin up on a team then my buddy would drop his bags. I'd say, "Great. You know were going to lose now, right?" ......and sure enough they'd come back to win.

    Reason I will teabag someone:

    1. If you've ever sent me a hate tell its automatic. I'm not angry, I just like farming salt from players I know get overly excited in a video game. If I die I absolutely never send hate tells, no matter if its obvious bugs are being exploited or not, so if you send me a hate tell you're getting tea bagged every time I kill you.
    2. When you try to gank me with 4 people from stealth and don't kill me, automatic bag.
    3. When I kill your friends and you turtle up waiting on them to run back and you all die again, bag.
    4. Anyone running Malubeth.
    5. Anyone who kills me Xv1 then teabags me is getting it in return when I catch them.
    6. Zerglings.
    7. Allies that died.
    8. "leet small group players" who just like to Xv1 randoms to feel like they're tough.

#2 is pretty much my code.

On a side note, I take great pride in getting the bags. When 5 people are dead, and a whole group runs over to just tea bag me, it's a badge of honor.

    Lol! Better than a Purple-Heart!

I got 1v2 and died last night. Found the annoying MagDK with his 17 man ball group minutes later. Proceeded to mercilessly destroy him.

I rarely teabag, and usually only in situations where someone is using cheap/dirty tricks/tactics and some others have already said. Or occasionally when people try to rely on numbers but skill wins out, essentially overcoming unfair odds but triumphing anyway.

I think a better answer here is when NOT to teabag, like the jerk wad blues that took over IC in PC NA the last few days. I was playing solo, saw a flag being flipped and ran to defend it. Came around the corner to get run over by 15-20 people, at least 5 of which stopped to teabag me on the way to the next district.
Teabagging is a way of saying "Haha, I won IN SPITE OF X, when I probably ought to have lost, but instead I beat your dirty/cheap tactic so in your face!"
When 15+ players run over a single person... that doesn't call for a bag, you didn't pull anything impressive, it's just a lazy-mode win and you're making yourself look like an idiot teabagging me anyway.

I got teabagged the first time I went to pvp. I thought it was hilarious to see it in this game. I'm a female and will gladly use my cyber bags willingly. Nothing wrong with it. My saying is if you are a *** you must be teabagged.

I only taco dip when: this person is a know jerk or ganker, is the emp, they are farmer, like bridge warfare, killed me several times, gets killed by me several times, or bloody follows me and keeps trying to kill me when I try to run away.

I usuall don't get teabagged on my main or female alts, which I guess is understandable

Only rule I ve folowed so far :
I ve never and never will teabag anyone for any reason, and honestly there are players (specialy NB) that I hate with all my heart.

But as Op says, teabaging tells a lot about yourself.

Thats the most vulgar gesture I ever saw in a mmo and I pity and despise uterly anyone who does it.

See this right here is why I don't teabag but I can appreciate it. Nothing makes people rage more then killing and teabagging them...they're literally rubbing your face in it :p

Generally I find the only people who teabag me are people I just killed who then come back with 20 friends and then one of their more talented friends kills me and they then teabag - as such it's generally a bit sad for them and I tend to feel pity for their deep emotional problems and hope that one day things will be better for them.

When I'm solo in small groups I never teabag people I kill or anything else - just seems petty really as they are dead already.

When I'm running in larger groups (or zerging as some term it) then it would also seem childish and taking undue personal credit for a team effort.

When I am leading raids I don't like people in raid doing it and ask them to stop.

Teabagging is prison-yard behavior. Its a strong representation of the crassness of modern society, and a fixation with one's *** and *** as a means of wielding power over another. I am honestly not sure what it says about the players that engage in this behavior other than they are crass and lack class in that moment.

I personally appreciate some of the more humorous emotes people do like /cheer, /laugh, /clap, etc. I also like the shovel, the point, etc. There are better ways to do your victory dance than emote something with obviously scummy forced necro-sexual acts. The reason some players engage in this behavior is the same reason prisoners do it to each other in prison. Think about it. That alone should make you feel like a scumbag if you're an incessant teabagger. The truth of the matter is though, it probably won't. Someone that fixated on this behavior would likely be clueless as to the volumes it speaks about them as a person.

(As an aside, people who drop into crouch because they want to go into stealth could be mistaken as teabaggers. There's a difference obviously).

@ArchMikem ...it's not just a gender biased act...plus, it was bugging the heck out of me whenever I saw it, doesn't really bug me that much when folks do it to me, but, was irking me when i saw others doing it...so, I wanted to hear from folks whom do teabag why they do it and how they do it...

honestly, after reading some comments - it definitely bugs me a whole lot less...

heck, hopefully going forward I'll just be able to either ignore it or maybe even laugh at it...

Why they do it? Because they want to feel like the big bad cool guy on campus by doing something that's meant to humiliate the "victim". Honestly it's just another facet of Internet Multiplayer gaming that needs to be rooted out.

Well yes, think about it. Your character is dead. They're desecrating your 'corpse' with a pretty lewd act. I've always found it cancerous behavior ever since I first discovered it. Its been going on in PVP games for ages though (MMO or otherwise). Then again a lot of what gets said over the headset in some of those games is amazingly bad. The reality is I think ZoS was spot on in its suggestion to people regarding BWB that they should write as if their mother was going to read it. I think that isn't a very bad consideration. People really ought to filter their behavior. Believe me, even when I am brusque and harsh on the forums (or otherwise), I'm holding a lot back. Do we really want to be a bunch of apes flinging poo at each other?

The shovel/kowtow are a lot more respectable, and actually funny. I get a kick out of those, including the cheer and a few others.

The teabag on the other hand just falls to baser behaviors that like I stated earlier are a from of *** type violation. Its frankly creepy and weird, and you have to consider that this behavior might evoke bad memories from people who may very well have been violated in real life. There's 7 million players out there, certainly some of them have been through traumatic experiences of a sexual nature. I'm not talking about microtrigger BS, just common decency here.

Teabagging is literally just crounching and un crouching. There is nothing sexual looking about it, no one's going to see it and and have a freakout and if they do, then multiplayer gaming just isnt for them because wether you like it not teabagging is a staple of gaming and its never going away.
