Only way this can possibly be fair is if soft caps come back but that won't happen cause ZoS would have to admit they were wrong and well according to them they never are.

I think you misunderstood the OP. He is not suggesting an increase in damage, he is suggesting more varied ways to deal (the same or lower) damage.

If a player hits you for 10-17K with wrecking blow, then increasing his flame/shock/frost/magic damage (which is the idea of the OP) won't do anything to boost his damage output. He will still spam those wrecking blows doing the same damage.

The change would just give him the option to do something else (like go for a hybrid build) without completely gimping himself.
