Any way to NOT queue for the new dungeons and still get the random reward?

Because I'd really like to complete a dungeon, just once.

Don't think so, no. A way to sort of, kind of, get around the problem is to get a full group of friends/guildies and queue for a random until you get one that you don't mind doing.

Beware the battle cattle, but don't *fear* the battle cattle!

You can still get the random rewards if you queue with a full party.
“Kings of the land and the sky we are; proud gryphons.” Stalker stands, the epitome of pride. Naked and muscular, his wings widen and his feet dig in as if he alone holds down the earth and supports the heavens, keeping the two ever separate.”

If you join a group with someone who does not have access to the new DLC and set that person as leader, then you will never get the new dungeons as one of your random.

Why be normal when you can be better?

    Elissandra Ravenwing, Magicka Dragonknight Healer
    Lady Kalila, Stamina Templar DPS
    Stands-in-Danger, Nightblade Saptank
    Zalarah, Stamina Dragonknight DPS

@Cheveyo, join a guild! The are many active guilds that run daily dungeons and pledges regularly. You can easily group up with other guild members and queuing for the random daily reward dungeon is much easier and within seconds. Go to the guild recruitment part of this forum to look for guilds advertising and recruiting, if joining a guild would interest you.

Never really ever bothered doing the random dailies, but tried it out last week for the first time, just for fun.
Queued with pre-formed party, got vaults of madness(yay :( ) but took it anyway. Killed it.
Never recieved any awards or xp or anything, but it says that we have 'completed activity'.

Don't know if this also falls under the dungeon finder system being "broken" or hit&miss, but it didn't work for us.

But i can confirm that you can definitely que with full group! ;) on the bright side!

It would be nice to have 1 or 2 dungeon exlusions. My poor main is lvl31 and the new dungeons do not do him any favors.

Queuing with a full group was the only way to do it for a long time because the group finder wouldn't actually find you a group if you queued solo. You do get the daily random bonus, you get the xp once you see the activity complete notification. At lower levels it's damn near two levels worth, sometimes more.

Now that the group finder is working I've noticed a dramatic decrease in the quality of groups. I'm always getting tanks and healers that aren't spec'd for either role. They then proceed to run way ahead of everyone and get instagibbed in every fight. Meh. I'm a dungeon junkie so I deal with it.

I still prefer to manually form groups because of that. That way you can see what you're getting first, or at least an idea based on cp and hp. It's usually easy to tell healers too because they like to stand around town spamming their heals :)

Zos would be challenged to make it so players without access to a dungeon do not get queues for it when doing a random without punishing those of us with access to the dungeon.

Basically, it's probably not good business to oenalize those who payed for access.

Granted, I understand the frustration those like the OP have.
