I'm all for new motifs, but what happened to the good old days where you find one book and know the whole thing... This is getting a bit ridiculous

It's to keep people playing I'd imagine. No reason to keep doing those dailies if you get the one book.

It's probably to keep old DLC relevant for a longer period of time. I really don't mind it at all myself.

I agree, OP, it's stupid. All of my guilds are currently just running Maw, etc. on low level cheese over and over and OVER just to get as many pages as they can.

Some people like to play this way, but it's not my cup of tea. Mainly, as Aziz said, cause I don't like huge pieces of *** in my tea.

The true madness is some noobs actually don't bother to research thier prices. Currently someone trying dro m'artha swords for 500k lol but about 10 lines down 70k x5 of them. These are fast going to end up like xivkyn.

Another way to brag in guild chat, sometimes people (moslty guild masters) are linking in chat their master motif achievements awaiting applause

Imho diversity in motif is needed to play longer, also to complete those achievements.
Then some can show their greedy nature by posting in general chat: "master crafter all motifs crafting on demand, 5k gold per item for 2-5 traits, 10k gold per item for 6-9 traits, if mats are provided"...

I love the new system of finding pages, but HATe the uneven drop rates of each page. Why do I have to get a hundred Outlaw Axes pages and almost nothing else? Super lame.

You don't need to have every one of them. Some people's play style of course demands it, but it only takes away some special flavor of role-play in terms of having for example only few special people being able to craft one specific thing. Same goes for owners of certain weapons and armor.

That's one of the factors, why MMO games turn out to look all the same. You have it in your hands, literally...

What *** me off is that most of these people selling motifs for absurd prices and/or those who already completed them all did by farming dungeons at very low CP level (10 or so). This should be prohibited! RNG for motifs should be proportional to the difficult level.

You want to, technically, cheat? Fine, but you'll have 90% less change to have the motifs if compared to those doing legitimately at CP160.

all i need to complete abahas watch motif is gloves.

i leveled thieves guild from 2 to 9 yesterday on 3 alts just doing the repeatable quests, i got at least 2 of everything except gloves....

I like the daily system. It is much better then what they did with Glass. Glass I didn't even bother with. I will say that their rng is definitely flawed because just doing the dailies everyday for Minotaur and Order of the Hour and looking at guild stores, Assassin Daggers and belts drop WAY more then any of the other pcs. An absurd amount.

Why hurt new players? More rare the item, more it will cost. If the market had a lot of one type of item. It will become cheaper.

They usually sell full books in Crown Store but I think they could at least do what they did with Glass and have a small chance to get the full book with all styles.

Because unlike other Motifs this one requires 10 "drops" to get just 1 chapter, or if you're uber lucky the entire motif, as well as cost 10k gold to even assemble. Any reason beyond that is just because Zenimax can lol

Guess it could have been a fake link but seemed real to me. He asked me how much I thought it was worth and I guessed 250K given individual pages prices and a + for convenience. Maybe I was way off....

Only have shoulders and staves left myself.

I don't know about PC but on console you can't fake a link because you have to actually link it FROM the item itself.

It's not hurt the new players, it's make them follow the game like everyone did one or two years back, with main questline, Cadwell's Silver and Gold, then DLCs and so on.

And modifying the chance according to CP doesn't prevent them to scale up and "have fun", just prevent "smart-a**es" from, technically, cheating, because every single farmer I see is scaling dow ON PURPOSE.

I think motif farming takes up about 30% of my in game time, and I love it :-)
