(For the record, I absolutely RNG boxes and will probably unsub as well, but this is just dumb.)
If I had bought a half year buffet pass somewhere near my workplace, and then discovered dead flies in their soup, of course I will ask for full refund!
How many times would you say, in a given year, do you send a meal back?
Don't do it or you risk this happening.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BjNuuBAANBk

If anything it's supporting the game, can you actually be butthurt that someone bought a box and got a costume or some other cosmetic item?
Haven't read through whole thread, but I remember reading a thread about people talking about refunds and ZOS stated that they, basically will not, under any conceivable circumstances (they didn't literally say this, but it's WHAT THEY SAID), refund anyone, for any reason, ever.
Things might've changed since then, I don't know. It was a long time ago.
It's like that one time where some guy bought Collector's Edition via website while logged in to his account, only to find that the game he bought ONLY works in the U.S., but he lives in the EU. No refund. Not even a single F given by ZOS.

I played D&D on console and stopped when I realized how P2W it was, those lock boxes gave you legit items that were very expensive and not just cosmetic.
ZOS you do you with your crown store, as long as you don't stoop to P2W I'll always support it (may even pick up a few boxes from my monthly crowns for subbing).
Crown purchases supports the game in a healthy way, and if people want to spend 40$ on a lightning panther let them! Cuz my horse will run just as fast as it. And i really enjoy the fairly rapid dlc expansions, as soon as one drops we start getting teased for another.
Spending 4,000 crowns on a Lightning Panther is not the problem, the problem is people with a weakness for gambling spending 40,000 crowns on dozens of random chets they can't really afford trying to get it via RNG.... this is preying on the weak like the worst companies do, it's sick.

Therefore, for me personally, the game will soon become a product, on principle, totally different from the product that I have subscribed to. Can I get full refund for the 180 day subscription fee I have paid??

Note the ingenious way that quote is worded. A year ago they had no plans to do this to us. Just like originally they had no plans to abandon the subscription model. But as we all know by now, their plans can change at the drop of a hat. And I guarantee you that the TOS you signed says it's perfectly okay for them to do this to us. Do I like it? No. I can't word that strongly enough to show my displeasure without incurring a permanent forum ban. But there's no way they are refunding you. That said, I'd ask anyway...and explain why... at great length.

Actually, locking things in as incentives for gambling does negatively impact peoples' play experience. We have to this point been able to make our own decision about how much we're willing to spend on Crown Store items. The gambling service is a complete divorce from what we've come to expect from the service provider and literally prevents us from even making a determination about what price we're willing to pay for an item. Mathematically, there is no amount of boxes we can ever buy which would guarantee getting the items we want, so we can't make informed decisions. That's why you're buying a gambling service and not an item. We're supposed to find entertainment in the gambling itself, but all players actually want are the items.

That is a very good point, but again none of what will be in the box is required to play the game on a competitive level or to access any feature. Most people QQing are just paranoid about it pointing toward the game going F2P in the near future or expecting B2W items to be in the boxes even though mods have already state many times that won't be the same.

So, first of all just because they didn't have plans for such boxes a year ago doesn't mean they promised that that would never ever change. When you subscribe, you do that with the knowledge that during the period of of your subscription the game may change in meaningful and fundamental ways. That's the risk you took. Just because your choice didn't work out doesn't entitle you to your money back. You chose to subscribe. Deal with it.
And for the record, I don't like the RNG boxes either. Let's not be petulant children about it though. If you want to cancel your next subscription, go for it, but you and I both chose to subscribe knowing the risks, and have to live with the consequences of that decision.

Contact your credit card company or bank, talk it through with their customer service. Usually, this would be past the deadline to report fraud, but, try it anyway.

The difference is that in cs:go you can turn those skins into real money, and thats a pretty big difference.

Bad advice is bad. Good way to hurt your credit rating though.
