Of course, the same photo used to calculate Fengrush's height at 5'2", also implies that he lives in a basement suite or something with 5'10" doorframes designed for hobbits. If the doorframe height is closer to a more normal 6'8", my take on the perspective in the photo puts @Fengrush at around 5'8" (plus or minus an inch or two).

SolarCat02✭✭✭✭✭Some basements are actually not that high. My parents' house has a much more shallow basement than average. (Funny story there, involving a confused and upset contractor for the lot next door, and a free basement hole for my Dad.) Bonus feature, it's the only basement on the street that doesn't flood, ever. Of course, it was tricky to find a bunkbed that fit in the downstairs bedroom.Why be normal when you can be better?
