Just a quick second to correct some misconceptions. This whole idea that people looking for group are mindless and beneath those who have a guild group is wrong. I have found high CP, well geared and experienced players in zone looking for group. It's insulting to those who might be new to pvp and trying it out or someone who has decided to faction change.

I totally agree, but I think when people say "mindless pugs" they are only talking about the subset of pugs that don't know what they're doing yet.

That way no one will know your plans!
Yeah there shouldn't be many spies online when the servers come online after this maintenance.
Sounds like a new and innovative strategy to try then.
It's actually not a new strategy. I've been setting my alarm clock at 3am every morning for the past 2 years so I can come online to ESO and PvDoor while everyone else is asleep.
Amazing!
See, it's long term strategies like this that foster competitiveness, good sportsmanship, and encourage players to come to Trueflame from the DC and EP factions. It'll feel like home to them, like they contribute regularly, and have good fun while doing it!
I agree, oceanic time is quite competitive at the moment. I have great fights with TKG and wormhole, who always demonstrate good sportsmanship and do an excellent job defending all of their keeps and scrolls despite being on only 2 bars population each night.
I joined so I can RP with @Ghostbane hope thats ok?
... Probably the best thing AD can do right now is encourage pugs to form their own guilds and get more experience fighting. Trueflame on NA PC is THE competitive campaign, yet we have so many poor lost pugs running around! I know there are some folks doing pug wrangling, but I think an achievable improvement would be to get the pugs to form guilds and work out new leadership.
We may also need to put the pugs that show up consistently through some kind of a bootcamp. I still see people trying to use fire trebs on walls, or hitting postern doors instead of the wall/stair, or sieging people instead of the wall when the keep isn't even flagged yet. The poor dears need a lot of instruction!
We also need to be more vigilant about toxic exchanges. While it's true that people who've switched to AD have expressed time and again that we're the "least toxic" chat, that doesn't mean we don't have our fair share of naughtiness. Let's keep AD #1 by holding ourselves to the highest standard!

I don't play on TF but the points that @Recremen makes here apply to any campaign. My apologies for straying from the OP's topic.
1) Regarding the "poor lost pugs": That pretty well describes me and, possibly, many of the PVEers that came to Cyrodiil to get the Alliance War skills. Most of the things that seasoned PVPers take for granted as common knowledge may be Greek to newcomers. For that reason, I disagree that pugs (i.e., newcomers) should form their own guilds - we need good, experienced leaders in each campaign. Without knowledgeable leaders, we would merely be gangs of "poor lost pugs".
2) Bootcamp - "The poor dears need a lot of instruction!": I sure do. Yes, I did the Welcome to Cyro tutorial quest ages ago to get Rapids and then get the heck out. I'll bet I'm not alone. And, while that intro quest may show which siege to use, it doesn't teach strategy.
3) "Toxic exchanges": Ouf! At times, it seems that people are too busy fighting each other in zone chat to contribute to the faction war. I'm not sure that this is something that can be fixed. Personality conflicts will probably always exist and a common voice app might only serve to move the bickering from zone chat to Discord.
That said, I agree that voice-coordinated groups would have a better chance of success. I sincerely wish you the best of luck in this endeavor.
Sadly the spies are everywhere. Few months ago I do remember calling 3 times in a 2hours period to hit Drake in zone and every single time when I arrived there (riding from Farragut), we were welcome by the same 24men ballgroup patrolling the walls. As much as I enjoy zone chat to rally a faction, sometimes it's simply better to create your own guild and invite people you trust to coordinate.

I see pop locked 3 faction most of the day. How is that more players than the other factions? Have you seen a PM raid? Do you play TF PC? Are you getting your news from FOX?

They have a few groups who go their own way to farm AP for themselves and couldn't care less about the campaign. Honestly, what's the point of feeding EP APs at the bridge north of Aliessa for hours on end, while losing the entire left side of the map. Or a emperor who directs people to cling to Roebeck while losing the rest of the map just so they be emperor for an extra hour or two. Or how about the groups that feeding DC APs at Nikel while the rest of DC takes everything behind it. Same thing happened with the Had campaign and now AD doesn't exist there in any numbers. People asked yesterday, "How the hell can AD be pop-locked and still be getting gate camped, owning nothing on the map?" The answer is simple, a lot of AD players are down in IC grinding away for T-Stones and couldn't care less about the Cryodiil campaign. I know some people who have never left the sewers from day one of IC. The populations of IC and Cryodiil really should be separated. Sadly to say, at this point, when, not if but when ZOS starts charging crowns to switch alliances, some of my characters will be switching out of AD.

All this talk from a ball group prox Det lollygag player that spends more on camps then receives in attempted farms? I suppose everyone has an opinion on "quality".
Yeah same here AD is just a faction of a few large exclusive groups and pugs that refuse to get in TS only groups. So that leaves me to play boring as hell ganker or get farmed by EP and DC. All of my really good toons with Undaunted 9 are on AD, would be nice to transfer those out for 3000 crowns each. But to which faction? Just saying is all.
DK is not an exclusive guild. We have minimum requirements for membership (AD ONLY, LVL 50, CP 160>, TS) We take players in, help them, teach them, and yes on Friday's we get them drunk. But we are by no way exclusive. I have a very relaxed play your build approach. I am confident that in time each player will find the path to pvp success. Organized group play is fun especially when we all understand that its a game.
