imperial city quest sequence

Hi, I'm after the order of the original Imp City quest line.

I've competed it already but I have guild mates all on different districts. We want to hit it as a group, so start with the lowest common denominator!! I've tried a few of the normal guides / websites but unsure if any have the actual chronological correct sequence. Hope that makes sense.

I think you can't (or at least when IC came out you couldn't) because it was randomized. There is no "chronology", each district has its own "story", and the final quest is only available once you've done all district story quests.

Workaround is for all of you to abandon your current quest, then let one of you pick up his/her next quest from the NPC and then share. This way you all have the same quest.

There's no chronological order to Imperial City, except that City on the Brink is first and The Sublime Brazier is last. The six district stories can be done in any order, dependent entirely on which district you visit. But if you want to impose an order to them, use the order listed in the achievement The Sublime Protector, which should also be the order listed on UESP's Imperial City page.

If I remember rightly you can't have more than one District Story quest active at a time, so if anyone already has one, you may not be able to accept one that is shared. Certainly try it first, but it may be best for everyone to abandon the one they have, for someone to choose one, and for that person to share it with everyone else.

Thanks guys. So @Enodoc when you go to the notice board and then get told to raise the banner you can go up any ladder and start any district is that right?

Yep. There's no order to those Scouting quests (they're chosen at random), and they are not required to start the storyline quests. They exist entirely to direct you to a district, but you can just ignore them (or do them all at once), and do the district story quests in any order you wish.

Just let me use this thread to point out that this is a totally complete design failure from ZOS. Similar to Craglorn main questlines.

Those quests are meant to be done in groups (especially arena and temple districts are truly hard to solo), yet it is extremely complicated to get people who are on the same quest.

Let's hope @ZOS ( @ZOS_RichLambert ) is aware of this and will correct it in update 12 as part of the One Tamriel concept.

Where is the Drake of Blades then? I started this quest months ago and abandoned it when my log got too full. I can't for the life of me remember where I left her. I remember speaking to General Nedras and meeting the Drake in the city but That all I remember. I can't seem to reaccept the quest from the Collections menu.

Edit: Nevermind, I found her by climbing the ladder to the memorial district.
