Currently my Spell Damage is 2081 (unbuffed).
Mundus: Apprentice (adds spell damage)
Weapons: Absorb Magicka (deals magic and restores magic) - Infused; Absorb Magicka - Sharpened.
- Sets -
Willpower: Adds 186 Spell Damage
Adroitness: Adds 121 Spell Damage
Elegant: Adds 124 Spell Damage & 20% increase to Light and Heavy attacks
Molag Kena: Adds 124 Spell Damage
For the most part the sets I have are because I needed something quick and I could find them easily and cheaply.
I have the plan to craft the Julianos Set as soon as I've researched enough traits.
Race: High Elf (not looking to change race)
Buff your spell damage with a skill that has major sorcery. I use structured entropy from the mages guild skill line.
Golding your weapons will increase your spell damage. Dual Wield has a passive that increases damage if you use swords.

And yes, stacking max magicka does about 99.9% of the damage as stacking max spell power, but leaves you with a significantly larger gas tank. My unbuffed spell power is only 2.4K but gets buffed above 3.3K pretty easily. That 44.3K magicka pool I have though ... yikes. Without buffs my Radiant Destruction tooltip value is 16,064. Not sure off hand what it is when I'm buffed but the end result is melted faces.
Common misconception. It does both.^ @QuebraRegra dual wield doesn't change Spell Damage. It 'increases damage', there is a difference. Spell damage is a stat.

Thanks a lot, right now I have everything pumped into Thurmatauge because that's what everyone told me to do, still unsure what DoT attacks I use on my templar...

Jabs, bane, radiant. All dots and most importantly your spammable. Plus nova gets buffed by it.
It increases spell damage, twin blade and blunt increases all damage with swords.,^ @QuebraRegra dual wield doesn't change Spell Damage. It 'increases damage', there is a difference. Spell damage is a stat.
And if you are a sorc trying to play at range (I.e. You don't want to Melee) having ranged attacks to proc the Spell Damage Glyph brings you alot closer on damage done now, than it used to, and destro staffs have that penetration passive to help you.
Regardless I like a Sorc with a Swordjust my style so happy to DW
