Ok ZOS, do the math. At present, a stack of rubedite averages 16k, and a 5 piece blacksmithing writ takes 50 rubedite, or 4k gold if we are to buy the rubedite. And if we are to farm the raw rubedite and other materials to do writs, that's all there will be time to do. The economy of crafting in ESO is TOTALLY out of whack, and the crafting writs are a financial black hole at present.
IMO, a lot of this issue can be resolved by simply reducing the gold material requirement to 6 pieces of gold temper instead of 8, OR, the surveys awarded from doing the writs need to replace at least 80% of the material it takes to do the writs. The materials that are the most out of proportion are the blacksmithing, woodworking and clothing in that order. The consumable writs seem to be fairly equitable to do.
This is a MAJOR issue with the game ZOS. Please address this issue.
