Would you like to see the abilty to change the color of your in game abilties?

Basically wanting to know what the community thinks about adding the ability to change ability visuals allowing us to change their coloring or maybe have they work animation wise possibly. For example making your templar abilties look like ice magic. Or changing some of the animations of some abilties to their old version or vice versa for those that liked old visuals for abilties they have changed.
Well, I think it would be nice to see this added, but mainly the changing of color on power visuals. I don't care about the animation as much but it could be an option they could explore.

    and in PvE for group instances (trials more so than most dungeons) if you are playing a support role, you need to know what buffs/debuffs are up working off visual ques prevents chat being too hectic

    not always unfortunatley, the NB mark is VERY similar if not identical to pierced armour (sword & board taunt)/ undaunted taunt and its already tricky enough when a NB uses it when you are trying to taunt a group, ie on the bridge in sanctum, luckily most NB i play with will switch skills once i explain why, and the others will switch once they get 1 shotted a few times cause i think that mob is taunted when in fact they are marked!

    I basically think it'd be cool to make all my abilities red, but I agree that they still need to be distinct and recognizable so that other people can tell what you're doing. It's just like the dye issue, sure there's that random few people that will go all hot pink just for the lulz, but the vast majority of people just want some cool colors that match their preferences. I don't ever refrain from using an ability over color so this is hardly needed, but I think it'd be cool.

    And as for the sub question, having every little thing that's cool get locked behind the subscription is an absolutely terrible idea, they've already been given all the perks needed to make it worthwhile in my opinion and adding more stuff as sub-only only serves to alienate everyone who isn't interested in subscribing. We deserve nice things too, and denying us too many such things will just push people away more than encourage them to subscribe.

    Shame. I would have totally been in favour of changing the colours of the icons. It took me an inordinately long time to learn to distinguish my Templar abilities because of every single one being yellow, and most being yellow and white.

    No for rainbow, but I would like the nbs colours to be changed from red, it's annoying as sometimes I think there is a red, because a NB is glowing nearby or that I may be standing in red.why make things to be avoided red then make class stuff red?

    Um... isn't mark target a giant red pillar that's painfully obvious to see? I use pierce armor and inner fire (undaunted taunt) often enough and I don't see how they look anything like mark target.

    maybe its reapers mark then, the debuff is the same reduce armour by x amount, so the debuff status and visual effect on the mob is the same

    ABSOLUTLY NEVER.

    Zos requires us to get information from the environment to know what is occurring. Even with add-ons on PC we do not see everything. Having different colors and appearances of some skills would make this more confusing.

    For this reason it will never happen, never get a second thought from Zos.

    This. I honestly think it would be cool to have things more purple :) But it would be a nightmare in groups.

    The animation for each ability needs to be uniform. All visual effects have been designed to tell you what ability is active just by the way it looks.

    Lets just stay focused on pushing them to make weapon dyes...we can dye shields and costumes now but still not weapons.
