No text chat while dead?

✭You can still talk in group, whisper and guild. Just not say or zone.
You can't check your mail either which seems like the best time to do so

You should be able to text chat with your group but nothing else. Makes sense that a dead person would not be able to call out in zone since PvP is part of the game.0 -

Probably that was intention behind it, but fact that you can whisper and chat in group chat while dead nullifies that.
