Do not mix Zenimax with Zenimax online studio - ZOS is not worth that - not even close. I would probably think about it when it would cost 90M, with a few demands, I have stated in a post above. But it is not worth 500M, this is for certain.

Edit: you have to see it like that - ESO could be a cash cow for about 5 years to come - not much more, than TES VI will be there and ESO will be outdated and slowly die off - so those 500M have to come in in those 5 years plus a decent interest rate of at least 12.7% p.a., more would be better, because with just 12.7% it would not be a really good investment - and this after costs and taxes.

So it has to make about double of it before taxes - so we have per year 200M as ROI and roughtly 125M as revenue - before costs - we have to see the running costs as well for staff, equipment, offices and so on - this will never come in from ESO - so it is not worth 500M.

You think the game will die off once the new elder scrolls come out?

It will not make the same amount of money than before - and slowly die off - it can take years but it will cease to be at some point in time - it is not made to last forever - otherwise they would have chosen a better game engine and better staff.

If I had 500 million I would invest half of the money wisely, buy a new car and mansion with a decked out game room and continue to play ESO and see how they fix things on their own.

500M make you 5 million each month - after taxes - you can buy a luxury property pretty much every month or every other month, there is not really a need to think a lot about if you can buy it - well, if you would want a 250M yacht, this would be different, there you have to think twice - but if it costs just a handfull of millions, go for it - you won't get any poorer.

Edit: to invest just half of it is like throwing away 2.5M every month - you do not want to do that - do not buy stuff with your own money, do it with the money of others and loan it in a country which has a volatile currency - and pay it back when it is down - this saves you quite some amount of money, while your own money is earning.

Bring back softcaps make dlc an actual expansion with at least half a years content like 4-6 groups and new pvp arenas maps and upon one tamriel make two servers players can flip between one being open world pvp other the current as is pve.

I'd bring back stats like oblivion and have those impact builds wanna run fast? Increase speed dodge better lower cost and longer invincible frames increase acrobatics. Wanna hit harder melee up strength. More ranged dmg and crit add dex etc etc.

I'd up spell dmg and wep dmg bases and reduce the impact max mag and stam has on it so hybrids can be more of an option.

Remove all 5pc arnor skill line stuff and make it all be per peice so players can literally be a mix of whatever they need to make a build feel perfect.

Break gauntlets and pauldrons into left and right granting two more armor slots to make build gear combos and customize look aka 2pc valkyn wear two shoulders for a matching set.

Redo traits again and make them all worth it in a unique way.

    Mounted combat.

Spears, crossbows, one handed and javelin.

    More ingame mount and costumes.

Redo racial balance based on feedback not bad ideas.

    Fix the underperforming classes.

Add three or four morphs for all skills and add 51-100 to skill lines and add new skills and passives

I'd upgrade servers and change the engine of the game to Unreal Engine 4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CgT1SgZK3y8 ( also PVP will refresh because of this engine...remember the old days with thousands of people on the same screen?). I'd migrate all the content slowly to the new systems. This can be do in 6 months .. with no more than 2 millions .The rest I'd give it to Matt Firor to make ESO to grow more and become trully the best MMO. He must hire more professional people ..and could try to convince the ones who left to come back to the team.

More marketing, advertising , great and large expansions ( 2 per year) payed , and small dlcs between these expansions for free. The ones who bought SOH will receive a refund because the intention was initially that this 2 dungeons pack to be a part of the base game ...so given for free. In the future all the small DLC,s ( 4 per year) will be free. Only the large expansions will cost money ( 3000-4000 crowns)--2 per year.

I'd introduce more sandbox features in the game like building structures, farming, more crafting skills ( example scribe ...using this ability u can produce new recipes, plans for an artifact system, plans for upgrading the towns , plans for upgrading the guild system ...plans for new war machines used in pvp...

All this things could be done from the same interface like the existing crafting skills do ..by research.

I'd introduce more social tools like every MMO have.

I'd introduce more guild tools...and I'd improve the guild system with upgrades, research, guild missions, guild leaderboards, , and guild wars ( yes I could use some of the features saw in GW2 but I 'd change them and improve them for ESO)

    Ohh..many things could be done.

English is not my native language.

in other words, you would take away the only thing which keeps this game afloat - it would no longer be Elder Scrolls with an Elder Scrolls feel to it, but would have to compete with other MMOs out there - and this would be it's end. Congratulations, you just kicked half a billion dollars into the trash bin with your policy.

Why do you think they had to change it to Tamriel Unlimited - the former version did not sell and earn enough - they had to swing it around and make it Elder Scroll-ish and less of an MMO - if you turn that around it will be as bad as it was before - economically seen.

What would you change about the game? Or would you change anything?

Would you make it into more of a single player game like a traditional Elder Scrolls Game or would you still make it into an MMORPG? Would you have the factions and 4 classes or would you make it open and start where you want?
Would you make each dungeon in your game solo able?

Was this game what you expected and if you had the opportunity to buy it from them what would you change?

No, because I would not want the responsibility of being the company owner. I would, however, consider investing it in ZeniMax Media for the purpose of ZOS and ESO. I would need to evaluate them as an investment. I think Elder Scrolls is probably an investment worth at least checking out. The bigger question is whether they want a 500 million investment.

This. I don't get why it's so hard to understand the best solution for all the balance stuff is to make abilities different In PvE and PvP. Example: sorc shield should be 6 seconds In PvP and 20 In PvE.

It's easy to understand...they're too lazy to separate the skills. There's no justifiable reason not to separate the skills as PvP and PvE play differently and have different needs.

I would change how DLC's are being brought to the customer. Instead of trying to rush out 4 per year I would like two large ones roughly 6 months apart. Hopefully that would allow for a quicker resolution of game bugs as it would free up time for those to be delivered in the weekly patches instead of having to wait months for a fix in a DLC.
