Just accept their blue motifs - they want to give you something, so let them. This said, those motifs which all my 12 characters have already, I offer for free in "say" to new players. Msybe they'll sell it, but maybe they don't and have fun with it.
I eventually do accept the motifs and gifts, if they insist - but I wait till they actually insist. I try to give them to low levels, or ask in zone chat, but I rarely find anyone willing to get it ...so I set it for sale for 50g-150g through guild trader, and it gets sold within 2 weeks lol For some reason I dislike destroying or vendor motifs and recipes, regardless of worth.
My pvp friends give me alternative gifts/offers.. one of them is an alchemist and he gives me weird poisons and potions. I use them to test new builds ^^ ..oh and another friend offered his mercenary skills for me in pvp, so basically I could pinpoint anyone I wanted killed in Cyrodiil.
On topic: I never craft for gold or items, and I do it for friends and guildies who can't craft what they want/need. I ask for materials needed in precise amounts.
- order a craft and send me gold instead of materials. I can forgive that if it's a noob lowbie who has no clue about crafting, but when a cp500+ player can't lift their own butt and go buy materials, it pisses me off.
- order crafted set in Imperial City DLC area, I go and make it - port out of the place, get told they ordered the wrong piece and want me to go back in and make them a new one. >.<
- spam my mailbox with motifs, to make me craft them gear in those new styles - because they are too lazy to craft the sets themselves. They have all traits researched. I return all the mails, as I am only interested in crafting for those who can't craft ...and I get spammed 2-3 times more. This usually happens with new DLC patch.
- order cp160 gear, sends me mail with the words: return me the leftover materials - I have crafting bag, it auto-stacks all the materials from mail with my own materials when I withdraw them, so I return the mail and ask them to count what's needed first and mail me only that - they start acting as if I'm asking for their soul. >.<
- ask me to abandon my group while I'm busy inside a dungeon, to go craft for them because their trials will begin in 10minutes.
Further annoyances....
- ask me to sell their shiny loot, so I put it in guildstore and wait - they ask me every damn 4min if it's sold yet, because they think I will steal their item. << I don't sell stuff for people anymore, due to the mistrust, it feels insultive and annoying to be treated like that, when all I do is to try to help them.
- lowbie ask me how to earn gold, I explain how they can get a steady income - they ignore all my advice and start farming the same normal group dungeon over and over for blue and purple drops. Each run takes them 2-3 hours to organize and perhaps complete. A week later they ask me how to earn gold again.

Urgs, the last one is disgusting, especially in the 21st century.
I offer those spare motifs with "say", directly at a newbie crafting station - and it never took long until someone wanted it. Zone chat is not really the place for it, I guess most people just do either not look at zone chat or expect that you want something from them or even try a scam or whatever - it is much better done "face to face" in local "say" chat, where you can actually see the person, which wants it - and I can see their level and gear - and estimate if those are alts or newbies.

Same as those who want you to be friend w/o even knowing who they are as they never talked to you. Typical around Mournhold and where people gathering in starting zones.

I'm a bit surprised you're having this problem with a name like floppytouch.

Also, I've personally at least have HEARD of a lot of these happening (Again, variations of same story, or 2-3 different 'events' mashed together, etc) but never as extreme as shown (Unless of course, in zone chat, you have people intentionally trolling just because of boredom)
But the above 'thought' is suspended for many of the crafters woes I hear. And its very frustrating and annoying when the person 'making a request' hasn't spent even 5 min at least researching the costs/requirements (Just mats needed) for something they want, then somehow assuming you just happen to always carry those mats around all the time(And ontop of that, somehow willing to charge them 50% of lowest possible cost for said mats)
but for as many of the 'idiots' making requests, (No offense to those who simply don't know) there are as many decent folk who are genuinely grateful and tip a fair bit for a finished set.(BTW thank you. You all know who you are.)

Without getting between the two of you... my suggestion is that @AtmaDarkwolf plays on PC (no voice chat unless you're organised with TeamSpeak or equivalent, which implies that you're grouped or teamed with people already, one way or the other) and isn't aware of the "proximity/area voice chat" feature that is available of consoles - which I assume this is what you ( @RoyalPink06 ) are referring to.
Shifting through screen after screen of Motifs while trying to focus long enough to check for the one you are actually looking for.
This game really needs a specific search option for their guild store interface.
