I am leveling woodworking. I'm at level 45 woodworking presently. I bought a lot of intricate items from the guild vendors to level with, all vet level. The staves were giving me around 19,000-28,000 inspiration xp depending on the vet level of the item I assume. The shields gave me 5,431-8,599 xp each. I then deconstructed a non intricate shield and got 5,431 xp. I got these numbers from what pops up on the screen and also from the system text in the chat window. I have an addon that puts xp gains and loot into the chat window. It appears, at least for vet shields, that the intricate trait isn't being applied when deconstructing. I have also /bugged this. Just curious if anyone else has noticed this.

Wow... I reported this bug here and in-game using /bug over a year ago and it is still broken. My current character that I'm on has woodworking level 11. I was deconstructing my questing trash and noticed that I didn't appear to get "intricate" inspiration from a shield. I then tried testing it. I deconstructed a CP140 white intricate shield and received 8,390 inspiration. I then had someone craft and mail me a standard CP140 shield, which I deconstructed for 8,390 inspiration as well.

    CP140 intricate: 8,390 XP
    CP140 traitless: 8,390 XP

Yep, I discovered this a while back as well, I wonder if it will ever be fixed. Then again they fixed it within a couple days when I reported a dog walking around on a roof, ….priorities?
