Because four isn’t enough and six is too many.

True. Guild loyalty is already an issue and would get worse if they increased the number of guilds we could join. OP is a prime example based in his explanation.
Can any of those guilds he is a member of truly count on him if he is running around with so many other guilds.

I am in a trials guild, a dungeon/pvp guild, a trader guild, a trader/pvp guild and I have my own guild for the bank space which is filled with gear at the moment. I have several end game content guild invited that I cannot accept due to the limit. Why is there a limit again??

There are some trials guilds that only do 1-2 events a week but there are also at least five (off the top of my head) that have almost daily content inside vet trials. If your requiring more then one vet trial run a day to be satisfied then this may not be the right game for you, that level of op tempo just isn't here.
Keep in mind my statement is purely hinging on my assumption you've met all requirements (such as a 25-30k unbuffed parse for instance), if you arent sure what I mean with this sentence then everything I've said in my last paragraph is moot and you have no argument.
This was answered by ZOS a couple of years ago. Each guild actively links you to up to 500 other players, so five guilds potentially links you to up to 2500 players and that doesn't include the friends list. The game has to keep track of where each of those people are, what character they are on, etc and constantly report that to you should you choose to click on the guild tab. Adding more guilds per character increases server load.Massive_Stain wrote: »Hi folks, serious question here: why only 5 guilds? What's the point of the limit?
Unfortunately that won't happen as the minority of players, who rake in a fortune exploiting the existing system, make too much noise.Darkmage1337 wrote: »
ZOS needs to get rid of the guild trader kiosk system & guild store system and just implement a universal, cross-faction Auction House that the community has been wanting since launch, er beta...

Yeah I get it. un buffed parse, never heard it said like that before. More like resource pool, yeah? Anyway, I have been playing this game for 2 years, and it's definitely "for me". I would just like to have a bigger pool of people to run end game with on the weekdays.
