But feel free to continue assuming that people getting caught in the charge bug are doing it intentionally, or even see it happening on their end. This is my problem with people like you, ignore the facts in front of you but continue to feel okay making assumptions on something you cannot prove.

    ANYthing you say buddy.

He was clearly mistaken when he accidentally did JUST the right macro emote inbetween JUST the right attacks to create a desync issue. Twice. On video.

And when players charged Dark Flare and pressed light attack over and over and over while it channeled meaning all attacks land at the same time BUT don't travel to the player before a player has entered combat, it's totally a one off that can't be produced over and over again.

But keep on saying "charge bug" over and over again showing you don't actually know what the CHARGing bug actually is. Hint, it's not called charging because you charge into combat.

Gonna break this down for you real easy, watch that first video very carefully. He charges a dark flare and uses one light attack. The light attack is melee from a distance and doesn't register on FTC, but each dark flare registers two seconds apart from each other (taking into consideration cast time and cool-down). The creature dies only after the second flare registers, albeit on a delay because the game is bugged. The rate at which each dark flare ultimately hit it's target is the same speed as if the animation wasn't bugged, and you animation canceled the tail end with a light attack.

But because of the visual glitch with animations, all you see is the HP of the creature go instantly to zero after both the casted flares register.

News flash, cool-down still functioned normally. Was the animation bugged, sure. Was there an obvious desync, sure. Was cool-down breach, absolutely not.

I know it's hard for you to understand, when you watch the video you just see witchcraft and macro wizardry.

    ____________

As for the second video all we get is a perspective shot of the "victim". We do not know what the enemy player saw on his screen, we've seen perspective shots of the "perpetrator" side of things in the form of Fengrush's Macroslice video. He's trying to reach someone and gets stuck in a charge animation unintentionally. Based on the video you linked, you have no way of knowing for sure what the other guy saw on his screen. He could have emoted normally on his screen and went for the kill after, it has nothing to do with macros dude.

    You cannot tell the difference.

That's now the third time you've argued a straw man and misquoted me. I'd pick you up on it but like the first time you wouldn't actually acknowledged that you've misread.

The creator of that video has literally pointed out how it's done before, but apparently you know better. Brilliant.

I don't know what I was thinking. I mean, we don't know what he saw on his screen as he just happened to twice use the same combination emote with attacks that just happen to be known to de-sync.

You win, this thread is no longer being opened by me.

    There are no macros.
    There are no bugs.
No one has ever used an animation bug.

I REALLY REALLY hope zos employees are reading all these and checking out the accounts of most of these people saying macro's don't help you...

Seriously if using a macro eliminates human error then using them gives you an advantage over a person not using them. Anything giving you an advantage over other players (third party program) is a cheat. 100% GET REAL!

this problem runs rampant in cyrodiil and it goes unchecked every single day. For example:

I get ambushed by a NB 80% of my health or 85 is still there and keep in mind the NB isn't stealthed or anything hes spamming arrows then all of a sudden ambushed by them and insta killed upon ambush....thought "wtf?"

Look at my incoming damage log and on that ambush I was also "surprise attack"'d "heavy attack'd" and I can't remember the other one but yeah...so annoying happens a lot when people use critical rush too

I'm well aware that posting in this thread will prompt a lot of learn 2 play comments, but so be it. I play on Xbox one, and I see the same pattern there. Before people start yelling lag and such, it happens consistently with the same opponents (while their buddies represent normal fights). When it happens I can hear the "SMACK SMACK SMACK" of 5 attacks in a row, where usually 2-3 of those have a casting time of 1.1 seconds. Health bar goes from full to dead faster than someone can type l2p on this forum.

I don't really care what the cause is, be it animations cancelling, lag, cheating or whatever. It's just pretty pointless. It's like having a pokemon go duel with two pokemons that both have 1 hp. First one to click a button wins :)

And to finish off, yes, I know I'm a bad templar and whatever else crap people ususally send me xbox live messages about, but I play to have fun and that's how I play (and yes i have fun).

Can't name names but was just killed from an EP NB that crit rushed me and BOOM dead in 1 skill, oh but my death recap

    Light Attack
    Surprise Attack
    Heavy Attack
    Surprise Attack
    Crit Rush

Now I saw him coming at me with the rush and I blocked it but was instantly killed, unless time stopped for me while he did 4 other attacks why are people still aloud to get away with using Macros ?

I got killed by a similar combo- also by a red NB! dropped dead as soon as he touched me- mind u i was full health- report was: CRIT RUSH > light Attack > surprise attack > surprise attack x 2! > executioner-
he must have put the surprise attack on both bars and been really really fast with the animation cancel - like 5 hits in half a second- impressive skills! :-P

Lol. You guys want to know the sad truth about this thread...? There's a relatively high chance that everything we discuss in here will get completely ignored by ZOS, unless there is profanity or some form of obscenity being used. In which case, a ZOS employee will come in to moderate. Besides that, best believe these concerns will be overlooked. In fact, I'd be willing to be that the people who use macros won't even be disciplined. But, just know that if you name and shame people for doing so? You're definitely catching a warning.

I saw a graph in one tread, where @ZOS_RichLambert was posting about a graph showing how many % of the people use heavy/medium/light armor.

I wonder if Rich could post a similar graph of how many people use cheating engines or/and macros and how many of them were banned and for how long.

    that graph is here:

I probably shouldn't respond to such a post, but gotta jump in. We do use data and compare that to player feedback and our own experiences on live. Players always assume that what they see is what everyone is doing... that is a very dangerous assumption. Let's take a more detailed look at question #7... (even though its trolly)
"What hard data did you use when buffing heavy armor? If your data is reliable and / or your ability to interpret this data is satisfactory, why are HA sets like Black Rose so popular among damage dealers?"

Note: I'm only using NA PC data for a quick example... I don't have the time to wait for the report to parse all 180+ GB of data for all platforms.

Current armor bias of ALL players on NA PC:
    w2tkk.jpg
    http://i66.tinypic.com/w2tkk.jpg

Current armor bias of ONLY PVP players on NA PC
    308utdy.jpg
    http://i64.tinypic.com/308utdy.jpg

.. and now just for fun, here's the bias of all PVP players on NA PC with 501+ CP.
    2qwjwux.jpg
    http://i68.tinypic.com/2qwjwux.jpg

So in general, heavy isn't as popular as everyone thinks in PVP, especially at the higher end CP. The changes to heavy armor have swung things much closer to what I would call overall parity than ever before. There is still room for improvement however, especially when we start digging into things like class armor bias breakdowns. (i.e. - DK generally prefer heavy over all other armor types...etc)

It’s obvious some people macro. It’s noticible by guild too, blatant cheating with no repercussions.
Looking for any guildies I used to play with:
    Havoc Warhammer - Alair
LoC EQ2 - Mayi and Iskiab
PRX and Tabula Rasa - Rift - Iskiab
Or anyone else I used to play games with in guilds I’ve forgotten

There is nothing, anyone can do about macros if they are being used.

ZOS can keep bombarding as much as they wish, on how "we do not support macros", but unless they as a developer actually do something about it, It will continue to happen.

A game that supports pvp and leaderboards and no anti cheat, what do you expect? anything goes.
mDKs still need a lot of love!

People get away with macros for 2 reasons:

This toxic community keeps denying any sort of problem, I've seen people swearing that it's not a cheat (exploit), when somebody is unkillable (with 20 enemies on him) and permanently teleporting trough walls (literally teleporting) - but no it wasn't cheating.

And second because the community denies any form of problem so does zos. They don't even look at the videos you send in. I've send in videos as far as 5 months back and it's never been viewed once.

Some people use macros yes, but they are not necessary to do a burst combo in PvP. Some skills, like crit rush and dragon leap, are extremely animation cancel friendly.

They wouldn't make an MMO mouse if macro's were not an advantage. There is a reason MMO mice are casually referred to as macro mice.

They make, often expensive, hardware so people can use more macro's. Macro's are a thing, and they are a problem. Many people, even some of the "famous" streamers and "class representatives" rely HEAVILY upon macro's.

Devices like these have enough buttons to have spare buttons left over to macros. I will not confirm nor deny that I use macros to kill players are complete PvE content.

What I will say is. That macros are highly advantageous in this game PvP and PvE. So much that I will say. If you can't beat em join em with alt accounts!
