Sort lag out in cyrodiil before new DLC's

ReeceQuinn96
Every single person says they lag in cyrodiil why keep adding stuff to the game when other things are so broken I know another of people who have quit due to this and it needs fixing!

I don't know how many topics we need on this before people finally get the message that (a) different teams work on lag and content, and (b) while everyone has an interest in DLCs not everyone has an interest in PvP or suffers from any form of lag.

I don't doubt that performance issues need to be addressed for the benefit of those who suffer from them and that ZOS are working on that. It has zilch to do with DLC design and implementation, however. The only thing the two issues have in common is that the people complaining about performance issues would also complain about broken promises and lies told etc if ZOS dropped the scheduled DLC timetable!

I would suggest playing in Azura. Noticeably less lag than campaigns with CP and no god mode players with endless sustain or one-shot builds.
If you want me to reply to your comment type @Ankael07 in it.

At this point i'm convinced that they are unable to improve performance because its been a known issue for so long. They keep paying lip service to the complaints, they know the performance issues exist, but we never see any real improvement.

Let's chill on new dlc content for a bit and fix the overall game performance shall we?

    *New DLC drop*
Does it have a central hub or city? Yes? Well get ready for your game to crash halfway through the loading screen.

And as for Cyrodiil, most of my deaths are because my character refuses to change weapons or my attacks go right through other players because of all the things happening on screen. 10/10

Cyrodiil is pretty much unplayable for me. Any time there's more than 20 players in the area I get disconnected - so I can't participate in sieges or even take resources. AP payout? Nope, missed it. Reload, I'm dead. Fan-fricking-tastic. So glad I already unlocked Vigour and Caltrops - most of which was done defending the Alma Ruma gate.

And on Sunday the lag in IC was atrocious - it took about 20 button presses to get my Ultimate to go off...

No offence but most of the times I see threads like this, you pretty much always seem to get your oar in about PvP.

From earlier posts of yours that I vaguely remember, you are a strict PvE player, so why bother posting on PvP related subjects, you do not like PvP, fine, do not do it, but also do not bother commenting the pretty much same stuff on threads similar to OP.

    Just saying.

And regardless, PvP has been broken for absolutely donkeys, with new DLCs coming out, with seemingly no collaboration with other departments, areas of the game suffer, notably PvP in this instance.

It does make sense for further DLCs being released, that they do not work in a optimised fashion across most, if not all, areas of the game, that WE ALL PLAY.

Which sadly up to now does not happen, imo new DLC should be tested on PTS for way longer than a month, till all bugs are ironed out, and is optimised as much as possible with all other content for all types of players.

Even Dice who do the Battlefield games do a lot better job than this, and I cannot even believe I am admitting that, as they are rightfully renowned for horrific game releases on most if not all their titles, but hey, their games are optimised to hell a year after release, different genre, same issues.

Many players came to ESO just for PVP, I'm one of them. So your sentence @Tandor is invalid.

The PVP in current state is laughable - fighting while having 5-20 fps has nothing to do with skill. I'm very disappointed that Zenimax did nothing to fix it since 2 years now.

This thread is like if i said ZOS should make more DLC before fixing the lag.

Many people come here solely because of PvE as well, myself for example.
I must be one of the lucky ones that isn't afflicted by the lag.

    Thornblade PS4/EU is a f****** s***-hole at the moment:

    - >10 people in a fight even just nearby? Can't switch bars properly, people seemingly glitching everywhere, massive FPS drops and DCs
    - Want to use an Inferno staff? 0 FPS for 2 seconds even when use class abilities
    - Get AP/XP anywhere on the map? 0 FPS for 2 seconds
    - Want to use a wayshrine or respawn? 2 minute loading screens or DCs

Lag is bad, sure. But the dashboarding (xbox one) is really more annoying. Especially when the game decides you have no internet (even though every other game and the internet browser works fine, including xbox one party chat) and it takes so long to get back in that you get kicked out of cyrodiil and end up as number 56 in queue to get back in.

Meanwhile the keep is already razed and the scroll is gone.

This is not simply a topic about PvP with no relevance therefore to PvEers, it's a topic proposing that all DLCs should be stopped until the PvP issues have been resolved. That makes it a very pertinent topic for PvEers and one that I am therefore perfectly entitled to contribute to.

As to my always seeming to get my oar in about PvP, whatever that means, I only ever make two comments in relation to PvP. First, I question the view often expressed that the whole game is broken when it's really only the PvP issues (along with competitive PvE) that people are complaining most about. Second, I oppose any attempt to have PvP imposed on the PvE content such as with the Justice System. Those things apart I have no problem at all with PvP and have done it in the past in other games although it is of no interest to me in ESO. My earlier comment reflects all of that and doesn't involve any criticism of PvP at all, indeed I acknowledged that some were suffering from these problems and said quite clearly that they needed fixing.

I regularly have latency issues even in PvE. In PvP it's worse, but working on it can only benefit PvE as well.

While I agree many posts on these issues are uninformed and rather rude, I do think unrelenting and scrutinizing attention to these issues from the community is good, given that they are very longstanding and very disruptive to a playstyle that was heavily advertised long before and throughout ESO's existence.

They need to sell more fashion and mounts anyways. They put more effort in their fashion then they do for a dlc.
